Things weren’t going very well at Aleppey, so we made the drastic decision to give up on the coastal ride and head into the hills of Kerala instead. Casper Crump (Traveller Behind Bars) joined us for this part of the trip, and on Day 1 itself was introduced to our absolute randomness. After my Royal Enfield was fixed up, we set off in the direction of higher altitudes. As it would turn out, there was a state-wide strike that day, and every place we passed through looked like a ghost town. Finding food was a huge struggle, and finding our way was quite a problem too. Despite the challenges, it proved to be a memorable day on the road. Watch the video to know more.

Remember if you can't find any hotels in Kerala, don't hesitate to enter a temple unless you have some foreign friends with you. They always serve food every noon. Big temples I mean.

i spent 5 days in kerala, bike riding in majority of the cities, started from cochin, i guess it was last day of the strike, still not sure its same situation or different, strike was because of hike in fuel prices and rental guy told me that its safe to start now . But fortunately we able to start off from cochin to munnar or else we have to cancel almost whole trip because main agenda was to bike ride covering complete kerela.
One will simply fall in love with the nature and beautiful landscapes by seeing it through your lens. Eagerly waitng for the next part bro. 😊

During hartal, you can check hospital canteens, some temples or even go to a house. Mostly people are friendly there and will help you for sure.

losing something when touring is the most painful thing one could experience. I lost my right hand gloves while touring Dharmapuri and had to travel back tracing the gloves. 140 KM both ways. lost time and explore the hongenkkal falls completely.

hartal's are successful in kerala because people support it since they get a day off from their work. I had seen my relative's happily rolling down their shops shutter saying today is hartal with a big grin on their face.

It was a lovely quiet place when I visited and I would think that it would be safe. You can always go there and then decide if it gives you the necessary comfort to stay
