I want to pursue ma in geography , does one gets enough time for upsc/state pcs exam?
One can do so, but one has to manage his/her time efficiently for both. A lot of people are able to do that in jnu. I know some people have done that in various schools/centres of jnu.
Geography is my UPSC optional subject... can i crack for MA geography?

One has to seek outside accommodation of jnu till one gets a hostel. One can find rooms nearby munirka, ber sarai and katwaria sarai, adchini . All are near Jnu.
Bhaiya Mera CUET score 340 aa raha hai out of 450 cetagory general. kya mujhe JNU me admission mli sakta hai kisi bhi language me. Mujhe waha rahkar UPSC ki preparation karna hai

Do girls get accommodation easily for MA if they hails from NCR and falls under general category but without any year gap ?
first priority is given to who have passed their qualifying examination from places outside Delhi and are not residents of Delhi, excepting those who are admitted to a programme at a level at which the student already has a degree or has pursued studies in JNU at the same level with hostel accommodation.
You will come under the third category , that is bit complicated as the Hostel Manual of JNU says third priority will include V and Xl Semester (SLL&CS) M.A., V Semester M.Phil, IX Semester Ph.D., local students in that order. Admission to the local students, when provided, will be only for the duration of the current Academic Session strictly and such students would be required to surrender the hostel accommodation latest by 31 May of the Academic Session.
@@OneBeingOne well I m not the resident of Delhi but Ghaziabad or is there any system of paying "extra money" to get hostel ? and if not hostel are there good and affordable accommodation's to the immediate vicinity of jnu campus ?
@@letitbe3494 one of my Ph.D. batchmate was too from Ghaziabad, although she got the hostel after one year. No you can't get the hostel by paying more money. One can look for affordable rooms in Munirka, Katwaria Sarai, Ber Sarai near JNU Campus Area. Hope it helps.

There is no strict regulation of timings for girls in the hostel as sometimes one has to study in the library or has to work in the lab according to one's course.

Mess ka 3400-3500 bill aata hai monthly. Or per semester 1450 ke around registration charges hote hai.

yes, they do get that, but probability of getting single seater is high in 3rd year as seniority is counted on the basis of semester completed in M.Phil/Ph.D. and date of joining double seater accommodation in the hostel.

JNU ka B.A in language course ke liye do test rahenge, Pehla Section 1A jisme Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages-Factual, Literary and Narrative,[Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary]
Or Dusra Section- 3 Rahega jo ki general test hoga. jisme General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration/stat taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning rahegi.
General test ki tayri ke liye market se sample test paper ki book dekh sakte ho.

Yes you will get a hostel (no separate hostel for any course), that would be a double seater room with mess facilities.
