Thanks for what you are doing. The question I have is in regard to the idea of Infallibility. All the manifestations have been men, the UHJ members are all men. Does that have any bearing to the fact that men are different than women on this earthly plane due to the Y chromosome, which I as father in the family is geared toward Justice as opposed the nature of women who are more Compassionate toward her children and why the House is called the Universal House of Justice and not the Universal house of Compassion. It does not necessarily imply that women are not equal than men, but they are just the left wing of a bird of equal strength as the right one.
My understanding is that most of the distinctions between attributes, qualities, or powers we attribute to being gender specific are derived from social roles and expectations at a given time and culture in human history. The Writings assert that women and men are equal and always have been, that the differences in station or ascribed function are circumstantial and not inherent. 'Abdu'l-Baha says that the time will come when we will understand the rationale for women not being on the House of Justice (after all, they occupy all the other positions of authority and guidance -- NSA's Counselors, etc.) He says, "The House of Justice, however, according to the positive commandments of the Doctrine of God, has been specialized to the men, for a (specific) reason or exercise of wisdom on the part of God, and this reason will presently appear, even as the sun at midday." (Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha v1, p. 90)
