I agree with you completely, and I also want lyrics very badly. The chorus is the only part I understand. It sounds like he is saying "Know the love you stole to crack your coax."
@Bon Bon … thank you for your input; better to have something than nothing. I’ve tried the direct message with Nick’s (at the time) manager, but unfortunately I didn’t get any feedback. His music was unique, and his writings were absolutely meaningful too.
@@lewismeleiro Absolutely. That's rare these days. I recommend Barzin and The White Birch since you like Nick's work. The White Birch is more surreal and they rely less on acoustic guitar, but their album Star is Just a Sun is incredible.
@Bon Bon … thank you for the suggestions. I already knew Barzin (which I somehow appreciate), but hadn’t heard of The White Birch and will seek ‘Star is Just a Sun’ at your advice. Nick Talbot had one particular and peculiar connection to Nick Drake that is mostly unexplainable, and perhaps this is one of the reasons it will remain as one of my favourite contemporary musicians/composers. There are few male voices capable of “messing” with my senses, resulting in a sadness-happiness blend… Talbot’s was one of that few, as well as Drake’s.
