  • Here's a vegetarian version of Filipino classic Laing - a creamy and spicy dish made of dried taro leaves cooked with coconut milk, chilies, and other aromatics. Serve this with a bowl of steamed rice and enjoy a healthy family lunch or dinner!

    Vegetarian Laing with Tofu | Filipino Taro Leaves in Coconut Milk
    Ingredients:
    2 tbsp olive oil
    5 cloves garlic
    1 onion
    15g ginger
    800ml coconut cream
    600ml vegetable stock
    2 tbsp vegetarian fish sauce
    1 tbsp soy bean paste (replacement for shrimp paste)
    80g dried taro leaves
    salt to taste
    1 red chili (adjust to your preference)
    1 green chili (adjust to your preference)
    1 block air fried tofu
    served over steamed rice
