The constant left to right, right to left camera pan was like watching a tennis match in slow motion. Different camera angles and a camera above the drum line would add to there performance.
That is a Cookman cadence. Listen to when cookman does pregame marching out of the end zone. THAT IS A COOKMAN CADENCE. the very first one I'm referring to.
Look here bro. I know at least SU has been playing this cadence since 1977. I lived in Jacksonville, FL 1985-1993 then again "96-98. I used to attend at least 2 to 3 of Cookman's home games a year. I know they weren't playing that cadence in the 80's or early 90's. BCU wasn't NO WHERE NEAR the level they are now. That didn't happen until Mr. Wells stepped on campus. I met Mr. Wells between 93-95 at a Norfolk St game when he was a BD at Nansemond River HS in Suffolk, Va.
The ONLY cadence that SU may have gotten from some other band is the one when they fast march at 360 steps a minute, FAMU has the exact same. I don't know who had it first SU or FAMU.
FAMU had the fast cadence first. That and Dr. Foster's(GOD BLESS) "Double Quick Step" stands as the only thing we have modified from another collegiate band, other than Michigan...where our style comes from. As far as that first cadence goes, yeah we have had that since the 70's. There is NO WAY BCU (then BCC) had it first.
I know the first cadence Haircut, we played that in high school! The second cadence Tank was a newer cadence, they need to bring that one back because it's a great entrance cadence just like Bladehead! I've heard one other band play a cadence that SU play, J-State! SU cadence is called Jack, idk what J-State cadences called but they are pretty similar.
I love the sound of these traditional snares.
Still do.
I ain’t *_NEVER_* converting over to this new school, table-top, wood-block DCI crap. #Never

Hella deep!
Much love I always wanted to go to U,
Only micro-complaint is...I'd like to see more mummy glide. Other than that, nice.
I was looking at that! Back in the day that mummy glide was serious...that was one of many things that made the snares style
Cyn Music Name a video when they mummy glide
DTex Probably too many of them to stay synchronized while doing it. I see 12 Snares instead of 8!
It's style, not rocket science...lol. If you got the style down, you could have 30 snares doing it. There just has to be a focus on doing it
What's mummy glide?
What’s the name of that last candence
Johnny get a haircut

DJ Hebert Thanx bro for your confirmation.
Damn those snare sound good.
It seems like they always remix somebody else cadences and throw some different movements in there and try to call it their own style
Noddles Ray SU been doing these cadence's since the 70s I know you young...but you need to do your research
Steve Milligan so have other people been playing their cadences 🤔

Why no quints though lol
Braxton Ramseur quints really?? Does this spund need quints
SU is Traditional. Dr Isaac Greggs really doesn’t even care for tenor drums that much let alone Quints.
We don't need Quints. We leave that for high schools.
Quints is not SU's style.
