I was thinking about getting the Nikon Zf but decided to get the Lumix S9. I wanted a full frame camera but the S9 has better video features. I will admit, the S9 for photography is more challenging than the Zf but the smaller body size was the main factor of my final choice to get the S9.
I mainly use m4/3 and hardly ever use video. And if I need a quick video I just use my phone. But I decided to do a quick couple video’s with the ZF. And when I transferred them to my phone they all were pure white noise from the sound. And I was just using the in the camera microphones. So not sure what happened?
I've seen seen lightly used Zfs going for $1200. I think it's a steal at that price. I've had my Zf since it came out and love it. The only Nikon I own and it's great for manual focus lenses which is what I primarily use it for. I use a Lumix S9 for video.
Yes, they used ones I’ve been going for around that price even a referral through Nikon. I would’ve pulled the trigger if I didn’t get my Z6iii for an amazing deal
good video! been on the fence about the Zf for awhile now especially since theres one on ebay mint for 1100 lol. I'm originally a Nikon shooter from my dSLR days and moved to Fuji. Been wanting to get back into Full Frame and the S5iix was what I was looking at but that Zf is so appealing. Only if it had better video support. I think the firmware updated S9 is more capable then the Zf.. so unfortunate.
This is definitely geared towards photographers, but has some pretty nice video aspects. I think the Lumix is a surprising competitor, especially when you get open gate.
@Novapsihoanaliza what are you talking about? Nikon has one of the better displays out there. What were you doing to overheat it? I’ve tried LUMIX and that feels more like a toy to me and the display is not even close.
The video starts with "this is the Nikon ZFc" when the camera is actually the ZF as can plainly be seen. I think most people would stop watching after that mistake. Just saying.

Bro, I can’t believe how little views you’re getting. Your content is quality! I’m hoping 2025 is your year, man!
Thanks, man! I really appreciate the support.

Low quality camera. :(
That’s a bad hot take
@MatsuXL After a few days with ZF - bad display, worst buttons, overheating... After Lumix, this is a toy camera.

How dare someone make a mistake! I should yell at the 87% retention after the first 10 seconds
