One of the best looking bikes as well

"its the same thing they do to their cars"...and my puny ass thought they fucked up the turn signals in bikes too😅
3 years unlimited mileage warranty is pretty sweet
Yeah it is. Just got a new engine in my S1000RR after flashing it back to stock with my Brentune.
Good to see someone who knows something technical.
That's funny, because he doesn't know shit. Just cause you know how to ride or drive fast doesn't mean you're good at engineering.
Wideband O2 sensors are pretty much everywhere in fuel injected cars, even in the cheap motorcycles and cheap cars. Narrowband O2 sensors are long gone.
@@k2t210nearly all fuel injected bikes have an o2 sensor, h2r, r1m, r1 all have one
Appreciate your input on all subjects. I been riding since 1979 and I enjoy your videos.
Started on yamaha then to kawasaki then to honda and been on BMW’s since 89.
Thanks keep em coming
I love my 954rr Honda baby
954s are at different categories now. It's a very raw machine but those 150 horses ain't keeping it up with those 200s when it comes to straight out drag despite still being the lightest kerb weight CBR of all. Still, corners on the 954 gave me confidence to rival god.

Thanks for a honest vlog ⚡️⚡️😉
That’s a good point not having to tune your bike just makes it better than others 😂
@@CROFTY71 service and ecu tuning are different things. You absolutely don't have to tune your ECU. You can, but you don't have to.

@@vasilisgreen. But mostly you don’t run stock parts then. The stock tune is probably the best when it comes to performance / efficiency with stock parts.
Find it hard to believe that that’s the ONLY super bike using closed loop tuning, that tech has been around a long time and isn’t proprietary..
Unpopular opinion but I miss the old hp4 . The looks were distinctive and unique.
Informative as always ❤
It’s also the only one that uses a true tapered RAM air system to make more power as air air volume increases. The shift cam in the new model is also what allows for the variable valve timing and control ;) (finishing up my bmw very currently)
I am lucky have my dream bike s1000rr msports. It was muy all time dream bike and i finally achieved my dream two months back😍
Congrats .. hopefully one day I'll be able to make my dream come true also.. my dream Is the bike you have also.. cheers 🎉🎉
Any engine that can safely and effectively manage stoich throughout its rev-range while building torque is the superior engine.
BMW does nothing differently. Every modern fuel injected vehicle uses this exact same setup. The first o2 sensor is used to determine AFR while the second is used to ensure that the emissions controls are properly working. Every single US market non carbureted motorcycle does this, as does any car newer than 1996.
Pretty cool honestly.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge bruh ❤
Just like cellphones nowadays every season there is new...
Meanwhile in WSBK: 0 world Champion
Wsbk bikes are completely different from the ones you buy; judging how good a superbike is based on Wsbk is extremely silly.
The Wsbk bike has a built-in motor putting 240hp to the wheel, the best racing technology, and parts; just forks cost like two brand new S1000RR on those bikes, and also a completely new ecu with better electronics.
Nothing stays the same other than the frame, pistons, and connecting rods.
So performance in WSBK says nothing about how good of a superbike it is out of the box.
@@Fearless154 proof that WSBK bikes have 240 HP to the wheels at the wheels WHP???? Meaning they make 300 BHP?? 💀🤣
Or are you trying to say 240 BHP crank
I will say all WSBK and street bikes are completely same
Difference is the ECU street bikes ECU is restricted the power throttle input fuel etc is restricted
WSBK uses race ECU so everything is unlocked
In real life street BMW M1000RR makes around 210 WHP meaning nearly 220-230 HP Crank
So the WSBK M1000RR should be also making 230 HP
Also the 2023 Ducati V4R street version had 240 HP V4 Superleggera is a street bike with 236 HP 155 Kg
Also the WSBK Ducati V4R has nearly same power around 240~250 HP
In WSBK the V4R is also fastest bike in straight line
Even in real street race Ducati V4R beats M1000RR or S1000RR in straight line
V4R beats ZX10RR too
So all WSBK bikes and street bikes are same difference is ECU and suspension maybe
need a video of you comparing all the litre class bike out there
The price:fun ratio is probably the worst
Thanks for the info. I hate to explain to many people about the wideband sensor when they tell me to tune the bike. Even though the bike shop which installed my full system exhaust, they also told me remove the sensor and get the tune🥲. The bmw has gone too fast on this platform and people can’t even catch up with their technology
You're saying that BMW is the only one to put a closed loop tune on their bikes. Is that what you're saying? That would be weird. And even then, BMW still has to pass emissions regulations, so, even it has only a closed loop tune instead of both, it would still not make the most power just on that premise, it would still need to have its restrictive map/target changed. If its target AFR is set to be LEAN to pass emissions, it will still use those fancy wideband O2 sensors to lean out the mixture, not to make the most power, most efficiently.
How I understood what he was saying is that the bmw uses a similar system to a car where it adapts the fueling to the environment. Where as other motorcycles use fuel maps that select the closest match the computer has to your current riding conditions. (Fortnine did a good video explaining how bikes don't use EFI to its full capabilities as cars do)
@@Cw0346 cars use what is known as a closed loop tuning. Same as BMW does in its motorcycles. What i said is that I doubt that in 2023 only BMW does it and the others don't and that, every system, closed or open loop has targets. By the factory, a closed loop system is set to hit conservative targets that serve the emissions control and not performance. They use all those sensors to stifle the engine and make it emission regulations compliant, not to maximize performance and efficiency. If you set a closed loop system for that purpose it will adapt to environmental conditions in order to achieve low emissions, if you set it to max performance it will adapt to produce maximum power. His premise was mistaken for that purpose. A closed loop is better at hitting its TARGET, it will not produce maximum power if its target is low emissions, therefore IT REQUIRES TUNING, the moment you put a full exhaust on it it will read the new parameters with its sensors and it will change its fueling accordingly to hit its TARGET, which is low emissions.
Awesome👍

Is the BMW bike reliable? I've seen peou talking about it having issues
Wow! What a great review! Thank you!
Can you please please also make a video on the BMW S1000 XR?
I’ve asked for this before 😬😬
It's my dream bike
Can you please do a video about the yamaha r1/r1m? I’m really a yamaha fanboy. Also I think you’re also a filipino, right?
Yamaha Doesn't brag about their features....if any other German company would have made crossplane they would post banners about it.....German has indeed the best engineering but they are shit in terms of reliability
Pretty steep price in my country, makes sense to buy a zx10R and modify it and you’ll still save a lot of money
What about throttle restrictions? And target afr mapping
Agreed, even though I have the M1000R. Engine light came on a week after I added headers. A few days later it just went off 🤷🏾♂️
12:8:1 is a lie :) Best AFR depends on many things like throttle position and many more. If you go full power you want to have more fuel that cools down a bit the engine.
To be honest i like the S1000RR,RSV4&M1000RR More than the other superbikes.
It looks like through the power of friendship zoltron can be mechanized
You can get an active tune that does the same thing
it's a different name for a closed loop. that's what a closed loop does, it actively changes the fueling based on feedback from the O2 sensors without ever needing a tune. It only has a basic map for open loop operation at cold start. It requires wideband O2 sensors but i'd expect every modern bike to have that.
That's why i got a Rapid bike tune on my zx10r
I’m not a bmw fan but I am a tuner and this is correct. More sensors means more control, more control means a more consistent running engine whether its a car, truck or bike, gasoline or diesel
The only other thing you need is a moto replacement when it blows..... 40k bike with blown motor . Hell nah...
Those Bikes are good before the service lights start turning on like christmas lights , just like their cars..insane service bills
Superior maintenance costs also
My BMW R1250RS has the same dual lambda system. I dont need a tune no matter what can I have on the back but when I change headers I'll need one.
This guy is definitely my kinda dude. Bet he grew up chicago era like me. There was a time Chicago merch was the ish

I SAW THAT BIKE YESTERDAY 😍
Whats a closed loop flash/tune
Never heard of "closed loop flash" I need more info on this please?
When tuners tune car its on close loop so the sensor can adjust the fuel to hit its set a/f ratio.
Closed loop is how cars work with modern day 02 sensors, and is a term for when 02 sensors take over fuel control.
Obd1 with a singular 02 sensor, the primary sensor was coolant temp with set tables to run off of until at temp(this is open loop), where it would take live readings from the map, 02, coolant temp and ignition timing to adjust the A/F ratio( that is closed loop). Obd2 and beyond do the same thing, but now the 02 is the dominant controller with every other sensor assisting.
Open loop is just warm up, closed loop is at temp. Bmw is the only ones doing this with their bikes vs everyone else where it's damn near like obd1 if not obd style anyway, as everyone else runs a narrow band 02 vs wideband with bmw
Brentunning. They have a closed loop flash for the S1000RR. They send you a hand held device. You download your stock ECU file and send it to them. They send you a tune file and you flash your bike with the hand held device.
@@Raiken333 That's the same thing they do for other bikes as well, not what OP asked

Ain’t no way it’s better than the current Ducati V4S,R and Superleggera.. not a chance!
The Kawasaki Ninja (H2) wants to know your location.
What is it with people and the H2?
it's not a super bike. Kawasaki's superbike is the zx10r
Bro, any car or bike that's electronically fuel injected does that. I got a k1 gixxer thaw and it does that. I call it barely injected because it barely has fuel injection, it still has a manual choke.
I think Ducati would have something to say about 😂
How hard would it be to weld in another bung for another sensor on any other bike just an idea
Brother did you Google all that information?
This came up after I just watched a newer vid of you hating this purchase 😂
Would it need a tune if you turbo it still?
Gonna get this as my first bike 😂
How do you do a cat delete on this bike I don’t want to buy new headers just to car delete
Must be why they all blow up after the tune
that's the only closed loop bike? my accord swapped Subaru has closed loop wideband system
Choice made. Thank You
Keep in mind that not only is bmw a super bike manufacturer that doesn’t have (and never has had) a MotoGP team meaning that while the company does have experience making quality machines, they do not possess the experience and know how of making a prototype bike designed solely for performance. On top of that, bmws are notoriously hard to work on. I used to work in a dealership that sold bmws and there were multiple instances where we would ship out parts across the country because we were the only dealership in Canada that had a part that the bike needed to run. The s1000rr is a hot bike and a more than capable track weapon, but take it all with a grain of salt before buying.

My r1 also have 2 plug like that auto adjust a/f. Not just bmw bro. Alot of bikes has an o2 sensor. Even gsxr. Ecu flash and a tune will unlock your bike and eliminate the need of those sensors. Ask anyone that race. That tuner sounds like he doesnt tune much. You'll come to learn that not every mechanic/tuner knows what he's talking about. 😅
Isn’t every fuel injected machine adjusting its Air/Fuel mixture depending on the air temperature and what the lambda sensor is reading!?
No. BMW isn't the "only" manufacturer to do this and even if it was, it's not the end all design feature that makes it "superior." There are many metrics to determine whether one bike is "better" than another and many of those metrics are subjective. Not arguing that the S1000RR isn't a great bike. It is, but your argument is flawed.
I ❤ my S1000RR 💕
