CanI just say, lovely reaction also you probably missed when Ashton or Calum are singing since their voices are sure unique but kinda similar to Luke's while Michael's voice is just very unique which explains why you noticed when they he was singing
Well now you've got do their previous album, CALM. I love 5SOS5 so much but CALM will forever be one of my favourite albums ever. Its just a brilliant piece of music that I vibe with so much. It helped get me through 2020
i wish you guys would've reacted to the deluxe version some of my favorites are the bonus tracks its great to see you react to the album tho im in love with every single song on this album (even tho i agree that older doesnt fit that well on the album but still a great song) i loved the entire album from the beginning but songs like best friends and bleach grew even more on me and are some of my favorites now also i listened to this album at 1am and was very emotional while listening to it cause I've been following them for years already and this album was just really special
please do their previous 4 albums so you can see the progression and evolution of their music through the years..i’m sure you both will love them even more
Well you need to hear their 10th year Anniversary live performance of them. It's a must🔥 It covers all their iconic song through the years they've been around.
If it makes you guys feel any better, the tour they just did was technically for their last album which came out in COvid, they just played the newer singles (and Easy For You To Say) as they came out during that tour). So prolly next year they’re Gunna actually tour this album - I’d be surprised if they didn’t go back to Vancouver!
Omg yess! Loved this!!! I've only listened to a few songs on this album before so I was happy to hear the whole album for the first time with y'all! This album started off so strong and I don't think it ended very strong. Youngblood and Calm and Sounds good feels good I think are their best albums 😂 I'm so proud of them though they have definitely grown a lot. Thank you for this reaction!
As somebody who seems to have similar music taste (at least on this Album) I actually enjoyed the deluxe tracks most so a reaction to those would be interesting Otherwise simply going back in Albums I also think you will find even more sounds that you will come to love
The one thing I noticed when listening for the first time was how the middle of the album(7-9) meshed together and sounded the same, it got better though as I listened more though. You Don’t Go To Parties is one of my favorites now.
Some of these songs really grew on me with time. Bleach is now one of my favorite when I wasn't liking it that much at first - but the lyrics and Luke's vocals kill me everytime. If you like Luke's voice you should listen to his solo album When Facing the Things we Turn Away From. You guys HAVE TO listen to the deluxe songs they are fantastic. 5SOS prides themselves to be a live band and THEY ARE! I saw them for the first time for the Take my Hand tour in Vancouver in June and they were just.. wonderful. They are so fucking good live. They are probably tour next year for this album you should totally go see them!! I hope you react to their previous album (especially CALM and Yougblood). These guys are so talented and they are so genuine, you can feel it in their music. Best band ever.
I'm glad you'll enjoy 5sos5💙, I completely understand your opinion about their sound but I think if you had listened to Youngblood and Calm your opinion might be different. Since youngblood 5sos has been searching for his own sound and 5sos5 would be like the culmination of that journey. So this 80s vibe and synth sounds is something that they genuinely enjoy and feel represents them although there will always be room for punk rock in our hearts. PS: I'm sorry if my comment is not understood, I speak Spanish🇦🇷 and my English is not the best at all
Half of my Top 6 is from the deluxe album, kinda sad you didn't do the 5 deluxe tracks but I hope you react to them. For 5SOS 5 tracks aren't half an album haha Honestly, when it comes to 5SOS I always listen to the Deluxe edition, they are some bangers on there. Luke's vocals are out of this world but my favorite is Calum so I'm gonna list when he sings. Note: Calum is considered to be the main backing vocalist so even when you don't hear him he always backs up Luke's vocals. Not including harmonies, this is the songs where he sings main: - Complete Mess: 2nd verse (Sidenote: the difference between the single version and the album version for Take My Hand is the end, they added the original voice note from Luke at the end back from when he first wrote the song.) - Haze: chorus - You Don't Go To Parties: Ashton on the bridge, Calum the rest - my favorite (I agree, they should have repeated the chorus one more time.) It's funny that you mentionned adding a trompet to older and in Blender you have Ashton playing the saxophone (what a talented man) I don't like this song either, even if the sound reminds of their 2nd album. The lyrics are very cliche and they had already made a song called "Best Friend". Unfortunately, I do skip this song. - Bleach: 2nd verse Same, on the first listen it wasn't my favorite but it's growing on me more and more with every listen. On that 80s sound, if you go back in their discography you'll notice that 5SOS have actually played with these sounds for a few years now (since 2018 I think) so I don't believe they follow "trends". PS: so happy you picked up on their inspirations and influences for this album. Also, you should watch the music videos of the singles in your free time, they are really cool. Stripping back the instruments and full on breakdowns are not just a feature of this album, it's something they do a lot, it's their signature I guess. Sorry for the long comment, I did really like your reaction.
well damn now i almost wish i wouldntve stuck to the end 💀 please keep your sauce mixing business to yourselves lmaoajfjajja no but on a more serious note, i really appreciate the candid nature of your reactions! i appreciate the honest opinions and criticism, no artist is perfect no matter how strongly we feel about them. it’s cool to see two people with like, different tastes and priorities when it comes to songs, it flows really nicely and i enjoy getting these nuanced opinions! it’s cool to have the musicianship be appreciated as well. i totally agree with nathan on some of those lyrics and lowkey feel kinda vindicated about it cause the first time i heard haze and he went « and if im with you, ill never die » on line 2 of the song, i was just like. 😑😑😑 its gonna be one of those 😑… i think some clichés are allowed here and there and i believe theyre talented musicians and singers enough to get away with them, but it’s true also that when you’ve got some solid ass songs at the start it just raises the bar too high to accept immediatly hahah. a lot of these songs grew on me over time (notably bleach, caramel and red line) and im sure that with a couple more listens you’ll find more things to appreciate, be it lyrics you hadn’t clocked or little musical choices that keep the songs interesting etc… overall i do believe this album is their best to date even though on the first listens it felt like some of the songs were blending together. sonically this album’s pretty cohesive to the point of sometimes being a liiiittle repetitive but i think this is the strongest they have lyrically. you can really hear the growth and them kinda finding their niche, i think. i’m interested to see where your 5sos journey leads you, might have to join the patreon to check it out hehe. thank you for your honest opinions and also for the laughs fjfjd i really thoroughly enjoyed this video!!!
U gotta listen to Luke’s solo album. It’s called When facing the things we turn away from. It’s actually the best album I’ve ever heard in my entire life.
Older is one of my favourites on the album, if you watch the video you will see Callum plays the double bass on it 👍also a perfect end to side one on Vinyl, I also bought the Deluxe version and the extra track are really good.
I don’t really think they just follow trends, I can see what you’re saying though considering this is the first full album you’ve listened to. This one just kind of happened to be in line with some trends. I do not think they follow trends for CALM and Youngblood.
yeah i don't think so either. this album is nothing like current pop. It has a lot of indie/alternative vibes and doesn't exactly fit into what's popular right now so I don't think they care about trends
Will u be haveing @5SOS* • actually on here talking on it, cos that be good that did happen on here. But if u don't my favourite band of @5SOS* • talking on here well they is not point of saving this. Or u ever talked about is them what about haveing them on the radio with u . To do a actual radio interview with them.

@@WelpHereWeAreOnUA-cam I hope people request it because these deluxe tracks are amazing! If you do react to it, please listen to "2011" as well, it's a single they released for their 10 year anniversary. It's more pop-punk and reminiscent of their old sound but because of the theme I think it should have been on the album instead of Best Friends.

I don’t wanna talk about your sauce

Easy For You To Say & Carousel giving me The Killers vibes.
My fav is emotions. Mike killed it
these lyrics are wrong. he says
" when you love somebody "
"When you love somebody else"
else is not part of next verse
