This isn't about tuning... This video only gives information on muffling. The hardest about tuning a bass drum is getting the two heads tuned exactly the same. How should I do that?
lay the drum down so that one head is muted and tap a couple inches in from the rim all the way around til the head matches itself, then flip the drum and do it again. You'll have to adjust both heads at the same time to get the fundamental pitch where you want it. Also, if the muffling is different on each side it will be near impossible to match pitches perfectly.
