The ARRL Handbook is something all hams should own *and* use. handbook.arrl.org/
But wait, there's more! The printed versions also come with the e-book, which are searchable PDFs that make learning fun.
You can find chapters in the included pdf files and put them on your tablet. Takes less space than any of the books.
I'm new to ham radio. I was going to grab last year's after reading about it in "On the Air". Glad I waited. I picked up the 6-volume soft cover of the 100th when the Black Friday deals were going on. Definitely a tome! Good stuff!
Nice. Rocking the G-Shock GW9400 again. I bought this hardcover and it also came with a convenient PDF version. so I can keep it on my field laptop for easy reference.
The other must have from them is the Antenna Book. Good stuff!
Being an new RF engineer, this is going on my book shelf at work.
I have the multi volume edition and I like the way it is set up.

My mystery box had the exact same items. I was hopping for a few more books but the handbook will keep me busy anyways.

Last year i got the multiset an this year i got the hard bound. I honestly don't like softcover books that much
I ordered the mystery box for black friday. I was pretty disappointed when I received my mystery box and the only thing included was an ARRL calendar :( After seeing your video yesterday I contacted ARRL and they said they'd follow up with me. Haven't heard anything yet, but hoping they hook me up with some more swag. The book is very nice, though, and worth the money! It includes access to the full digital version, plus additional HAM software.
Just to follow up I received an email explaining that I purchased the Cyber Monday deal which only included the calendar, fyi.

Hello to Josh and everyone. Im a new guy to Ham. I tried to get Chirp on my chromebook. How is this done? Is there a different program i can use for chromebook? Thanks .
Sadly no chirp on Chromebook consider loading Linux and using tot that way.
BTW , I now have the vx6r from DX Engineering . Its nice.

sorry, me. I bought the Handbook last year and didn't realize there is a 100th aniv. this year. Wont buy the same book again, so, no aniversary for me. sorry me...
Unless there is something specific in this years I buy one about every five years. Usually buy a used one at a hamfest for a few bucks. Some are still recycling material from the 60s on antennas.
I bought mine day one release and got nothing extra just a month ago. Booooooo.
Good book and I support the mission of the ARRL, but their shipment packaging is terrible. Of the last four orders, goods arrived damaged every time and replacement items also arrived damaged, because the league won't spring for boxes instead of bags even when requested for replacement items. I can't recommend buying from them.
