You have to select your timeline transfer function (gamma) from a drop-down in the tool. Based on that the pivot moves to middle gray. This unfortunately cannot be automated by the tool.
@@KaurH Sorry, I meant it you're using the basic contrast/ pivot tools in resolve. I would assume the 'color managed' workflow would change pivot automatically? or have they not done that?
Thanks for saying that Tomáš, but Resolve can't just be built from the ground up again at this point as it's way to large for that and too many people depend on it.
@@KaurH I know it's complicated, maybe someday you'll work for them or make your own AI software that does the grading itself:) I'd love to see a video chat between you and Cullen Kelly, who also does color science, I'd be interested in his opinion on your tools.
Well done Kaur! Keep it up!
Thanks, Murathan! There's some new DCTLs right around the corner.
amazing my boy!
Does Resolve Color Managed workflows adjust the pivot automatically, or do you still need to input it?

Nope, the one in Resolve is 'dumb', if you will. That's the main reason for creating this tool.
@@KaurH thanks
Amazing tools
Thanks!!!!!!!
Blackmagic should hire you to fix their software from the ground up:)
