Kansas guard Arterio Morris has been suspended indefinitely, 247Sports confirmed Friday night. The suspension comes after an alleged rape took place in late August at the on-campus residence hall where Kansas men's basketball players reside, the Kansas City Star reports. Two other Kansas basketball players were listed as witnesses and a third was also mentioned in the report, according to the Star.
An arrest warrant has not been issued for Morris and the case remains an open investigation, the Star reports. Morris settled a prior misdemeanor assault charge in Texas with a plea deal on Thursday.
The sophomore joined the Jayhawks' roster this offseason as one of the Big 12's most high-profile transfers following one season at Texas. Morris was arrested last June for an alleged altercation with his ex-girlfriend. While that charge lingered, he played in all 38 games for Texas as a freshman, averaging 4.6 points in 11.7 minutes per game off the bench.

FYI: for Furphy and Elmarko Jackson, being considered a “witness” under the law does NOT mean you were in the same room and watched it. It means that they may have ridden up in an elevator with Arterio and knew he was in the building or they may have been on the same floor in another student’s room. A “witness to the crime itself” and a “witness” are two different things.

How is that sad? The building it happened in is where all the basketball players live on campus. They aren’t in trouble

False he didn't beat her🧢you can go look at the actual paperwork. He pulled her arm out of bed. And that caused her to hurt her neck. A beating wasn't reported..

If it’s true, he not only threw his basketball career away; he threw his life away. He’ll never sniff the NBA or even college basketball again anywhere. He may be in prison until his 30s or beyond. And good luck getting any kind of job besides minimum wage if that.

We all owe a debt from the most high God for our sin and that is death and death leads to hell(Romans 6:23). So we all deserve hell for our sin. The only way to heaven is to be perfect and nobody on this earth is perfect, but 2,000 years ago Jesus Christ came down from heaven in human form lived to perfection and died for our sins, took the keys of death and rose again to show that he defeated the grave so when he died for us he took the sins of the whole world into himself so that we can be made clean (2 Corinthians 5:21), if we accept him as our savior we can be made clean, whole, new, born again, and redeemed, we must repent from our sin and turn to Jesus.
