"Mezőség- In the center of Transylvania, amidst the forested mountains, there is a grassy plateau of rolling hills known as the Mezőség ("land of meadows"), watered by the Nagy-Szamos, Sajó, Maros, Aranyos rivers. The Mezőség was one of the first places in Transylvania settled by Hungarians (10th-11th centuries), but today it is an ethnically mixed region, with islands of Hungarian settlement surrounded by Rumanian villages. As a result of this isolation, the Hungarians of the Mezőség region have preserved many archaic features in their folk culture. At the same time they have been influenced by their Rumanian Neighbors, who in turn have also incorporated many Hungarian elements into their folk culture.
The dances and instrumental music of the Mezőség region are among the most interesting in all of Transylvania. Its dance culture is very archaic, sometimes a living reflection of medieval patterns. This is a region where everyone still knows and dances the traditional dance styles.
The dance repertoire includes men's dance (Sürü Magyar, Ritka Magyar), unusual asymmetric couple dances (performed to richly ornamented, old-style music), and friss (fast) couple dances performed either double-time or at a more moderate tempo. A bőgős adja neki rendesen :D Brácsa is említésre méltó, tiszta, harmónikus. Hegedű is profi, tiszta, és nem semmi a tempó amit a sebescsárdásban játszik :) Annyira imádom az erdélyi régies, dúros hangzásait! :)

Și eu sunt din Pălatca acuma stau în Deva numele meu este ploscariu Iosif pe vremuri eram un foarte bun jucător de ponturi în tot județul a lui am locul întâi acum am 80 de ani sunt un instructor de dansuri populare foarte bună și căutat pe țiganii din Pălatca eu i am învățat să se joace le plăcea foarte mult de mine aici la Deva am făcut ansambluri populare cumnații din Pălatca fiul lui și acuma trăiește tații îl cheamă ne întâlnim prin oraș și vorbim vă iubesc și vă pup pe toți să fiți sănătoși
