@94eriliv the 6262 has an eq, presence controls, and master volume control for each channel. this only has 1 eq for both channels and 1 presence and 1 master volume
@94eriliv the 6262 has an eq, presence controls, and master volume control for each channel. this only has 1 eq for both channels and 1 presence and 1 master volume they sound slightly different also
Absolutely! I used to experiment with my Boogie Mark III. I would take these solid state amps like Peavey, Crate etc. and plug them in thru the effects loop on the Boogie...superb tone! So in your case, out of the POD and to the return on the amp. Usually just the master volume on the amp will work and all other controls are bypassed. Let me know how it works out ok? Cheers from Canada.
That's why there's knobs man. In all seriousness, I have been listening to tons of demos of amps and no matter what guitar is plugged in, there isn't a lot of difference unless there's a Tele or Strat plugged in and most of those are stock pickups. Check the specs on your pickups if there's a chart that helps a lot in comparing yours to say this guys. I'm now going to check out that model you mentioned because it looks like it may be what I want in a guitar.
I nearly bought one of these a while ago they seem very good, just the few stories about reliability were niggling at me and i ended up getting a barely used 6505 instead for similar money. I do love the peavey but couldnt have afforded a new one and i think this is the next best thing at the price.
I like it...the only thing that bothers me is the one eq...How has i play through a LP standard and a Michael Kelly Patriot Decree right now. I like my mids at a 9 high at about 5 and bass around an 8 (depending on the amp) for gain. For clean i like the high at 9 mid at 6 and bass at 5 (depending on the amp) Anyone think i could find a happy medium or just shell out the extra 100 bucks and get the 333 Infinium?
@cmountford09 Yes it is , but why would you need something to be louder than an HRD? 40 tube watts is pretty loud, I have a 50 watt tube amp and I have never even had to go past half at a reasonably sized gig. These things are ridiculously loud. I have the bugera 1960 and it has way too much headroom.
well i mean its not necessarily 120 watts because they assume everyone wants to play a giant venue. a lot of metal players don't want much power tube saturation, so they need lots of headroom
@gerby90 Not so much true, people can get used 5150/6505 from guitar center for half the price. i got my 5150 for 600, 550 with 50$ shipping and its in like new shape! never ever had any problems with it.
to all these people who are takeing bugera into ocnsideraion, their new products with the infinium technology have increased reliability by a big mark and you should definetly look for the infinium range rather than the standard.
@mikevmpr3 i guess it depends a lot where ur from. here in holland theres simply not a big amount of 2nd hand amps to begin with. and if ur lucky enough to find one, they'll often ask for a lot and arent willing to go down on the price. ppl hang on to their gear for a long time, cuz theyr considered a big investment. why? cuz prices here are much much higher than in the US.
@drugdrunkker the line 6 will be more versatile and reliable (digital), but tubes wil sound waaaaaay better, so the bugera will be the better sounding and louder definitly! It's up to what you're looking for!
@SydDante Infinium Technology = turn nuts and screws until tight instead of just assembling through them with power tools as quickly as possible...j/k good info.
I never understand when amp manufacturers put buttons on the front of the amp that cannot be activated by the footswitch. This is still a decent amp though for the price.
u ppl expect to see van halen testing thes amps, ther doin sound tests man and its still good playin ... i hate usin od pedals im sellin mine this amp sounds cool
I know the 333 series and 6260 and 6262 are the flagship for bugera, but the 1990 and 1960 sound way much better then then these and i like high gain METAL amps but, the 1990 has me freaking out over it it's the best sounding amp.
The amp isn't that bad, but he has some ugly feedbacks when you aren't playing. With a noisegate and a better cabinet, you get a nice amp for the smaller pocket! The distortion is actually nice :) and thats what a valve amp should have!
@Whyrendog Haha xD, i wouldn't be suprised :P this type of tech also includes their new auto biasing feature. weather this will work or have the typicall early days teething problems. we'll have to see (: i'm going to invest in one, with that price tag, it's worth it me thinks ^^
6262 is more versatile, has better cleans, but has a less "raw" sound, and a tad less gain (which shouldnt even make a difference since both of these things are fucking gain monsters and it should never really have to pass 5). the 6260 is just like i said, more raw, slightly worse cleans, etc...
It's a demo, he does a good job. Chill out. The amp jams, I use it on the road, it kicks ass.
Well that was a nice little talk, thanks. Will try and listen to the amp somewhere else, cheers x
@94eriliv the 6260 has one eq, the 6262 has an eq for each channel, also bugera says the 6262 has more midrange in it's voicing than the 6260.
by just changing the v1 preamp tube with a good NOS tube and a sonic maximizer and this amp sounds so good live!
@94eriliv the 6262 has an eq, presence controls, and master volume control for each channel. this only has 1 eq for both channels and 1 presence and 1 master volume
Yeah, I tried it and it's nice and heavy. Kept up with my friend using the Recto across from me in the store.
Nikolas you would need a cabinet too. You can get the bugera cab for about 250 American dollars or there are inexpensive used options as well.

its a PM20 from Parker
hes better than a lot of the other WMS guys... i think he's the best demoer actually
That's why there's knobs man. I have the same rig with 2 412 cabinets and a sonic maximizer its sounds killer. LOUD amp!!!!
I nearly bought one of these a while ago they seem very good, just the few stories about reliability were niggling at me and i ended up getting a barely used 6505 instead for similar money. I do love the peavey but couldnt have afforded a new one and i think this is the next best thing at the price.
What happens if I d like to switch between clean and crunch without using my hands?
@bigcatroberts I think this amp is actually based off of the 6505.
I like it...the only thing that bothers me is the one eq...How has i play through a LP standard and a Michael Kelly Patriot Decree right now. I like my mids at a 9 high at about 5 and bass around an 8 (depending on the amp) for gain. Would this sound good with the ltd ec-1000? (emg pickups)?
or do you suggest something else in the same cash range?
your videos are nearly the only one in youtube were the amps are mic`d very good
when i use my lead channel, my 6260 makes much noises, even if i turned of the volume on my guitar. is there something wrong?? help me !!! please
what is the difference between the 6260 and the 6262?
what do people think of the bugera cabs?
should i get a bugera cab or a marshall mg cab?
I bet it would. The Ltd ec-1000 will sound good in almost everything.
My question is, can you access the "crunch setting" on the clean channel with the foot switch?
Which would do better for kind of Zeppelin style rock, this one or 1990 infinium?
I know the specs but, i'm a old school thrash guy so the 1990 and 1960 are up my alley. anything else i'd use a modeling processor.
would this head be good for a metal core sound?
bugera amps are so incredible for their price!!
The soud is just great ,dude ! I want one !
lol
@cmountford09 Yes it is , but why would you need something to be louder than an HRD? 40 tube watts is pretty loud, I have a 50 watt tube amp and I have never even had to go past half at a reasonably sized gig. thanks name, decided to go with an orange though, i found one for a great price sooo happy :D
how does this amp compare with the bugera 1990??
that clean channel is vicious, it sounds like it could do metal if pushed hard enough
well i mean its not necessarily 120 watts because they assume everyone wants to play a giant venue. a lot of metal players don't want much power tube saturation, so they need lots of headroom
How does it handle pedals?
actually, as a second note to that, i use a 1936 cab as well, its great
@gerby90 Not so much true, people can get used 5150/6505 from guitar center for half the price. i got my 5150 for 600, 550 with 50$ shipping and its in like new shape! never ever had any problems with it.
Anybody know what guitar he is using?
the way he strums is hilarious
it's actually one of the new PM-24V's.
if i buy this head i need to buy an cabinet too to play?
Yes ! You will burn your head if you don't plug it into a cab !
I was considering getting a Bugera till someone I know got one... He's on his second head... The first one blew out on him.
to all these people who are takeing bugera into ocnsideraion, their new products with the infinium technology have increased reliability by a big mark and you should definetly look for the infinium range rather than the standard.
@bigcatroberts Did not know that. Thanks for the info.
Joe de Laney plays for Bugera ?? O_o...
@livingdeadbeat187 darnit I did not want to laugh through this video, that voice of Kermit/face of Satan thing always gets me.
Glad we agree.
@drugdrunkker the line 6 will be more versatile and reliable (digital), but tubes wil sound waaaaaay better, so the bugera will be the better sounding and louder definitly!

wats at 4:18?
Hello Satan, I mean Kermit... I mean Joe... Yeah... Joe...
I never understand when amp manufacturers put buttons on the front of the amp that cannot be activated by the footswitch. This is still a decent amp though for the price.
Man i saw God demo'in' a Randall amp down the street.
@gerby90 sorry to hear that, i enjoy my 5150, and could never
turn back
If you are on a Bugera budget and don't like them, buy a B52 At100. They are the real deal for under $700.
1990 sounds just like a jcm900, the tone king demos em n are just about exact
u ppl expect to see van halen testing thes amps, ther doin sound tests man and its still good playin ... i hate usin od pedals im sellin mine this amp sounds cool
I like them! they aren't like marshall 1960's or mesa's but they are good enough!
I think that go get a Zeppelin tone, you would do better with a JCM 800 as opposed to JCM 900
@mikevmpr3 well what do you expect, its less than half the price of the peavey 6505..
I know the 333 series and 6260 and 6262 are the flagship for bugera, but the 1990 and 1960 sound way much better then then these and i like high gain METAL amps but, the 1990 has me freaking out over it it's the best sounding amp.
Why?
its funny how the guy watches into the camera while playing... also how he moves his armes at the beginning of the crunch sound
The amp isn't that bad, but he has some ugly feedbacks when you aren't playing. With a noisegate and a better cabinet, you get a nice amp for the smaller pocket! The distortion is actually nice :) and thats what a valve amp should have!
No but the 6262 does.
@niahaa
you're right, he has to play for laney :P
excuse me? wats ur problem?
@DannyVss bugera for head, marshall for cab. My opinion.
the devil went down to World Music Supply
lol he says 6.2.6.0 INSTEAD of 6260 cause people will mistaken it for 5150.
@brettaas in what crazy world does he look like johnny depp?
Not fussed on the reverb
i wish he played some rhythm with the lead channel
2:34 looks like he is summoning the power of Satan's Muppet.
wtf at 3:42. Surf?
Awesome amp, didn't think much of the player though.
I thought Joe workz for da Laney amplifiers :)
@markltd250 and i have to agree with this statement as wel !
Man it bugs me when people say O when they mean zero.
Bugera's a branch of Behringer
@ThomasMetal75 lol why
@Whyrendog Haha xD, i wouldn't be suprised :P this type of tech also includes their new auto biasing feature. weather this will work or have the typicall early days teething problems. we'll have to see (: i'm going to invest in one, with that price tag, it's worth it me thinks ^^
haha his face!!! 2:35
@nofalseprophet i have to agree with this statement =D
Is that guy serious with that look of his?!?
OMG is the beast :o
6262 is more versatile, has better cleans, but has a less "raw" sound, and a tad less gain (which shouldnt even make a difference since both of these things are fucking gain monsters and it should never really have to pass 5). the 6260 is just like i said, more raw, slightly worse cleans, etc...
i like the footswitch. that's it.
yeah :)
I'd have to agree...
no, REAL marshalls are great, i was referring to the MG effect bs line
Don't like the reverb. Sounds very bad
Look at his eyes at 2:35 - 2:37 lol
Nope, but he does look just like Magnus Hammersmith from Metalocalypse.
@bluez7kat haha your so right
is it just me, or does he go ''youyou'' at the start? lol
I should have typed Zhongshan, China for his factory. Still applies though.
me too
johnny depp looks nothing like that. Maybe the character of jack sparrow does, but not johnny depp
