@ 9:59, our ancestors left science (in their own ways), cultural values and tradition (which are very rich) and spirituality. They didn't only bequeath spirituality to their offsprings. In fact, the Christianity we have in Nigeria has some elements of our culture in it. We don't deningrate our culture, our science and spirituality. We took our own, which align with our faith, from what they bequeathed to us and are working with them. We take agbo (a form of African pharmaceutical science), some people will take orin and not toothpaste (to brush their teeth), yet these people are not Traditionalists. Did they now denigrate their cutlure or insult the memories of our ancestors? If an adherent of one traditional religion moves over to another traditional religion and becomes devoted to it, has he/she denigrated his/her fathers' memories?
@ 7:06, the Roman Catholic was Westward, Europe, and the Orthodox Church, was Eastward, which is what we have in Russia and Ukraine today. Roman Catholicism grew by virtue of easy acceptance of the Faith in Europe then, and also the influence of education and scholarlism of Paul. Thomas went to India and i believe he went Eastwards, which would have established the Orthodox Church. Churches broke out of Catholic Church by virtue of doctrinal differences and the seeming corruption that engulfed the Catholic Church then (as they grew in power and influence). The question we should now ask is if there are Italian Muslims. Mind you, were the Roman Catholic blind to the atrocities of the Islamists as they marched over Jerusalem (which begot the Crusades) and Spain and North Africa? They saw those things and would try to prevent everything Islam was about.
@oosatolaabimbola thank you very much mama alot of this kiriyo and and imale dont know anything about those that bring the religion to them i remember going to Elimina Castle in central region ghana were the slaves were kept then and i hear the story of how this people use ífípà bànílópó with our women and lots of atrocities committed to our people and i said to my self and this once are the one that wanna tell us about God while our people aready know about ólódumáré before these people came with their religion
@ 0:11, the British didnt bring Christianity per se. They only had great influence. Portuguese gave the name Lagos to our Lagos and they brought along with them missionaries. They didn't go hinter, hence their influence was limited to that island part of Lagos. They also came in contact with the Benins first before the British did. Besides, we mainly attribute colonization to the reason for Christianity in Nigeria/Yorubaland, but if they didn't, we would have missionaries amongst us. Japan was not colonised but have Christians amongst them. China was not colonised but have Christians among them. How come these countries have Christians/Christianity among them then?
@3:35, Lamurudu migrating from Mecca is not correct. They might have migrated to this place but definitely not Mecca. Where? We can't say. If they had migrated from Mecca, the Benins too would have given a clue to that version of history.
@ 5:58, Rome also accepted Christianity, not that they imposed it on others like that. Bloods of Christ-followers were shed in that Rome too, which were seen as things of fun. I know the arguments our brothers give were that Rome saw they could use Christianity to control others, which wasn't true at all.
"Worship the Lord your God alone, for I am a jealous God" applies only to someone who is a christian alone, it does not implies that Christians should force others to worship their God.
@ 7:30, if you are saying they all had one voice because of Catholicism, then there shouldn't be opposition to Fascism in Italy then. Howver, when Fascists were in power, there were oppositions to their governance styles and Ideologies and these opponents were brutally silenced until the fall of Fascism. No one needs to live in Rome before we know these things. Books and documentaries are there to learn from. Another thing is that in that same Italy, we have Agnostics and Atheists, who go about tackling the Christians and their Faith. Where is then the oneness if there were Atheists in their midst?
A lot of mess up definitely happening precisely in yoruba land today. Their so called foreign religious leaders of both Christians and their muslims counterpart including the followership completely causing chaos in the territory haven't relegated the indigenous religion awkward against their foreign religion today. So pathetic. Someone who cannot trace rather understood their home heritage now becomes the defender of one certain foreign religions especially these so myopic set in these foreign religions.
Sir, there is freedom of speech, as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. That one is a Traditionalist doesn't mean one is wrong and the fact that one is Christian does not mean one is right.
@@dayjih that is what I will call Ethnic supremacy, which I know some exhibit, which was borne out of seeing culture as same with spirituality, which is what we are meant to correct. They don't need to believe in Christ, no problem about that (Man is still a free moral agent after all) but we can't stop them from talking.
@@peteroye1216 what I'm saying is that the so-called freedom of speech you appealed to was born out of democracy which is just one of the many benefits of western civilization built off the back of Christianity. And for your information, nobody is trying to stop them but when they blatantly lie against Christianity and misrepresent the belief in pure disingenuousity then they've got to be called out for it.
@11:03, you are the one rhat believes that my sister. Thomas Sankara never believed the Europeans who brought religion were superior to him. Patrice Lumumba never did. Michael Samora never did. Obafemi Awolowo, Samuel Ladoke Akintola, Adegoke Adelabu, Anthony Enahoro, and our other modern fathers never believed that we were racially inferior to anybody. So how come we are now hearing that today? My devotion is to God by my faith, and my allegiance is to my country/race. If Nigeria ceases to exist and we have a nation for the Yoruba alone, my allegiance switches to the nation of Yorubaland. Dazall!
What did Muslims do for our Race yoruba compared ti the JAGIDIJAGAN. The missionaries did alot...Pa Awolowo was a Christian..Pa Jeremiah!. Muslims contributed nothing to yoruba Land.
I don't think Pa Awolowo was a Christian like that o, unlike men like Bishop Ladigbolu (if I got his name right). He later dropped Jeremiah in his name though. Hope you know that Malam Aminu Kano, a Muslim, was also a Northern Nationalist too? Pa Lateef Jakande's records in Lagos State can't be matched by the current governors in the present 4th Republic, yet he was a Muslim. Both well-meaning Muslims and Christians and Traditionalists will do well for their countries and states.
Chief Obafemi Awolowo was also a Rosicrucian. Infact he specifically requested that his burial rites be conducted by the Rosicrucian order. How about that?
I have been watching you guys since you started this program with alot of energy but you now getting weaker and very soon the muslim will force you to compromise.

Isese was original. Isese is unreasonable, that was why all those people sticking to Isese are backward. Isese was first worldwide.
