@@twoscoopsfromhell2705 This particular track I wouldn't even rate top 40 of what he's done, and I haven't listened to half of tracks he's made. I also thought he was pretty good and far from genius, but once you give him time and listen to other tracks, pretty much everyone starts calling him genius and everyone who says otherwise simply doesn't know shit about his music
@@PurgerKaj Nah, and im a huge fan of Eric. His music is really good but not everyone is calling him genius lol. He just has this "cultish" fan base of morons who think he is literally god. Just makes it cringy as hell to read comments in any of his tracks. He is a really good producer though. As far as the visuals in his EPIC and HOLO shows, now that i would call genius. At least in the dance music world.
@@twoscoopsfromhell2705 Eric is genius because he makes so many simple melodies but they are all like different ( talking about the pluck melodies, not lead or basslines) and once you say “ Okay, now there is no melodies left to fit in four bar that is completely different “ ,he comes with another one. I don’t even need to emphasize his mastering skills and using of drums. Just unmatched. Of course, Daft Punk is more talented and flawless but they were not consistently this guy. Daft Punk era was not between 1993-2021 , it was 1993-2013 since they didn’t make any new track after RAM album. But I know Eric’s tracks made back in 1997 and now in 2023 he still makes new. There is a one major difference between Eric and Daft Punk, while Eric is making music just for fun and his official releases almost flawless apart from some of them. Eric’s official releases consist like %85 -90 perfect songs, %10-15 songs with bearable flaws. But Daft Punk’s official releases are all perfect, you can’t find any flaw really. But since Eric knows mastering better( because he knows technology more than the other legendary duo ), Eric’s tracks are more soft to ears. Rollin’ and Scratchin’ is one of the best tracks of DP but most people don’t like it just because their ear can not resist it even tho it has no flaws productionwise. But tracks of Eric which similar to the Rollin’ and Scratchin’ is more soft to the ears. Also , old school Pryda tracks are just pure Brilliance, you can say “ the new tracks are popular because Eric knows sound design pretty well , that’s why even tho melody is not creative people still consume it anyway “ I couldn’t say that much but old school Pryda is not consist futuristic pure and soft sound design, the elements of oldschool Pryda is also sharp as daft punk old songs but The melodies have full of simplicity, creativity, funk, joy, social distance( you can say wtf is even that, lemme explain what I meant: Eric’s tracks show us some of the hidden emotions and hidden creatures. Some sounds like universe talking to you, some makes you feel like you are a machine and so on. But this universe and machines always open their emotions to you but still doesn’t trust you which makes the track more realistic . In your life, the people who open their life to you always keeps a space between you and hisself because explaining everything is not one of our interest as a human. We always want something to just belong to us and not to others, the creatures of Eric’s music always keep that distance( some exceptions : melo, escort etc. ) I suppose you got what I meant ) . That’s why Prydz is generational talent and genius, his music is timeless no matter what. Daft Punk is like the Messi of electronic music and Eric is the Ronaldo. First has complete talent and all of their releases are pure diamond while the second one is working hard to create simple melodies and try to make it complex with other elements. He is one of a kind. His all stuff is good because he doesn’t so much vocalbased tracks and try to make melodies speak for themselves. The tracks of him that I hated because didn’t Listen to it completely were so much , by the time it almost came to zero. Can you imagine that I know this tracks quite for a while and didn’t give them a second chance for years ? I talked too much , I don’t regret it. I can even write a book about him, just analyzing his tracks and the psychology behind it. I wanted to be a dj for 8 years and I finally realized that all I wanted to do was actually making my own music which is being music producer. Since I am a lazy person, I didn’t get into things with learning music theory or sound design or how to use any DAW at all. I made 33 tracks to this day in a 14 months, even tho I don’t know how to master, I know what I want to do so thanks to Eric. That makes some of my tracks have natural side, you know it has a so much flaws in it but still you love the story it tries to tell. But i don’t have any plugins, I’m only using presets of fl studio plugins. That’s why Decided to make music in future when I have a job and can afford tools and plugins and etc. I was also a medical student, but since I wanted to be a music producer I left the university because I knew being a good doctor and music producer at the same time requires so much work which I can’t show the amount of patience. Now I study math and after that I will be a programmer or something other idk. I left a quite beautiful life opportunity just to make my dreams come true. I hope one day I’ll be master at my music, and if you wanna listen some of my tracks you can search for “ iores pyadzee” . I uploaded second album of mine there, they all made in like 3 to 7 hours except checkmate. Checkmate is made in 25 minutes, if you listen to it you can see the potential but this version is just crap because things got out of control and all and I was pissed of making it and tried to complete it ASAP. Anyway, the people who come to here without being bored , may Pryda bless you.
