Polo Forest, Gujarat Vijaynagar Forest Weekend Trip or one day picnic spot from Ahmedabad & Udaypur

The Government of Gujarat organises the Polo Festival every year.
Polo forest, also known as Vijaynagar forest, is a dry mixed deciduous forest near Abhapur village in Vijaynagar Taluka, Sabarkantha district, Gujarat, India. It is located at the foothills of the Aravalli range and on the banks of perennial Harnav river, spread over the area of 400 square kilometres
There are NO Entry Fees to visit the Polo Forest
If you want to visit the polo forest, you can hire E-rickshaw from the Parking area.
Best Time to Visit: While Polo Forest has its allure during all seasons, the monsoons and winters are considered the best time to explore this hidden gem.
It is advisable to wear full clothes during trekking. A pair of binoculars for bird watching. If you are travelling during monsoon season, keep an umbrella or raincoat with you. Having a waterproof bag is also advisable.
The distance from Gandhinagar to Polo Forest by car is 130 km.
