There was nothing like the super refined delicious treats @ Japanese cafes, ..... in NYC .... back in the 1970's 1980's! The most delicious, refined to perfection ..... treat was red bean dessert! ..... So miss that treat! .... 🥢🍶🍜💞
Wooow they're so pretty and perfect looking. And Japan looks so gorgeous right now too I wish I could be there. Today is a nice day in the US but I heard this weekend the temperature will be back down to 30F or so.
I bought Yokan from Daiso and both me and my youngest son have fallen in love with it! They have since stopped selling it so I am glad now I know how to make it so easily.
Never tried yokan before, lucky i have all the ingredients at home! I shall go make it tonight or tomorrow for my family. My mom and I like red bean. Thank you for video :)
I am hungry for Mizu-Yokan now. Thank you for the recipe. I like Mizu-Yokan better than regular Yokan because it has mild flavor. The Sakura trees are so beautiful. I miss Japan!
i wish i can, but video shooting or photo shooting is strictly banned at most stores in japan X( i wonder how other people do that. maybe they just ignore the rules. haha
So beautiful!! It must be so beautiful to wake up and go out and see Sakura trees in full bloom. Which is why I always make a trip to Washington D.C Everytime the Sakura trees bloom there ^_^ excited to go and take pictures again in 2 weeks! Oh and I love the background music you used! ^_^
I've been to Hokkaido during winter season and the scenery was stunning! Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to see sakura in full bloom in Japan

I was only able to find blocks of dried agar agar at my grocery store. It's not very dense, sort of like a dried sponge? Do you know how much I should use in proportion to red beat paste?
Oo, you must have read my mind or something! :D I was wondering how to make it at home since I find the store-bought ones to be a little too sweet sometimes. Thank you for the recipe! :)
my first time hearing yokan was in anime kakumei valvrave XD I have been intended to make it but don't know how to, thanks ochikeron, I think I could make it now, and also I love all your recipes arigatou XD

yes you can heat it

Looks so yummy
Hello! Does the azuki bean paste already have sugar in it, or can you add your own to make it sweeter?
It's made by basically adding sugar to softened beans and stirring it till it makes a paste, and then adding more sugar XD It is plenty sweet as is.
Im little confused, is that a dessert or just like a 'snack'? Is sweet or salty?
I hope I can make annin-dofu correctly now that I see what you did with the kanten powder and water. I seem to make it too hard or not hard enough!
Ochikeron-Chan I Love Your Voice ! Your Voice Is Really Cute !! And This Dessert Look Sooo Goood
