He’ll now forever be known as Eivor. The power of the gaming industry is amazing and underrated. A relatively unknown entity can be immortalized in a video game with a heck of a performance and have fame and respect forever. It should be appreciated. It’s nice to hear his voice.
Am I Wrong I respect that but I mean to mainstream media. If I’m not mistaken, The Last Kingdom is a British television series and doesn’t even air in American or isn’t available on American Netflix. Probably a good show, but not known to mainstream worldwide media and coverage. Video games are worldwide and appeal to masses worldwide and not just nation wide so he’ll gain much more exposure in this video game as people from almost every single small corner of the world plays video games and knows of the Assassins Creed series.
Cnut's rage and sorrow in TLK over his son's death was just masterful. Magnus, you are an absolute vision. Loved every scene in which Cnut was on camera.
I've just finished the entire show of The Last Kingdom for the second time and you guys and your amazing interviews prompted this second watch. You interview so well and really allow the actors to show the stark difference between themselves and the characters they portrayed that I had to watch the show again. For instance I cannot believe he portrayed Cnut what an outstanding job and Timothy Innes was unbelievable in his transformation of King Edward initially I thought King Edward was played by two actors until I saw your interview with Innes. All of the actors were great but some of these transformations were incredible. Awesome show. Awesome actors. Awesome interviews.
You guys should do podcasts on other shows to that are coming in the future like the rest of Vikings, or a total review of Vikings series overall, or character studies of Ragnor etc i would listen!😎
The 'just try acting' quote was uttered by Laurence Olivier when he was making a film with Marilyn Munroe. She had taken method acting classes, and was struggling with her motivation for her lines, as well as being incredibly late. Olivier got very frustrated, and said "Why not try acting?".
When Magnus says Bernard based Cnut on Halfdan and another guy, I’m guessing it was Halfdan’s brother Eowils. To know that, if you know the history of this time, actually gives away a spoiler for season 4 (although you guys have discussed Season 4 episode 4, you haven’t by the time of this interview so I will not say anything) - that’s pretty damn cool though. What I will say, however, that this Halfdan is NOT the same Halfdan as Halfdan Ragnarsson (despite Cnut being related to Ragnar in TLK) who we met in the show Vikings. Halfdan Ragnarsson ruled in Northumbria as King of York around the time Alfred the Great 1st came to power in Wessex. The brothers Halfdan and Eowils, along with a 3rd brother Ivarr (again, not Ivar Ragnarsson “The Boneless”) ruled as co-Kings in Northumbria in the early 900s.
We're glad the game developers chose a real Scandinavian for the voice acting. Check him out on The Last Kingdom on Netflix and see him as a Viking warrior Cnut!
If I saw that character name for the first time I would have wondered if they spelled it wrong...then after getting to know the character, wonder if that was where it derived from...coz he kinda is. .lol
I was sold once he started talking about environmentalism and consumerism, especially reaching out to an American audience since we are some of the most careless and wasteful people. I'm looking at you suburbia🧐

JustGoPlayGaming totally agree! He’s an awesome guy, totally deserves the recognition
Have u seen the last kingdom? He is introduced in season 3, he is a very good actor so he will always be remembered as Cnut instead of Eivor for me

Very nice
I don’t personally agree that people cannot tell one ginger with a beard from another, but it was still cool to see you interviewing Prince Harry

Colby: "Do the Cnut"
Valhalla will be Great with him as well.. 😎

This guy or Kristofer Hivju would be the perfect choices to play a mythological Thor!
Totally agree!!
