You need the extra horsepower when you get into a wet spot. Been stuck to many times with a 40 foot drill and a 250 hp tractor in wet conditions. Used the 400 hp 4 wheel drive to pull me out.
Definitely! The extra power and traction really help when you get into some mud.
And the answer is no. My 235 hp does fine on my drill 🤦♂️😁
Great video and beautiful tractor!!
I thought you might like this tractor 😁
Enjoyed the video. Our friend uses a large tractor to plant. His reason is it's the smallest tractor he owns that has the hydraulic capacity to run the planter and all the functions. Sure is different than when I was younger!
Thanks Ron! Gotta use what you have. And it’s cool to see anyways 😁
Great video.. that is very true about overkill and hills… you’ve seen what I’ve done and stuff. Soon you can do more videoing it’ll be spring time
Thanks Rick! Looking forward to being back in the fields filming!
Would be nice if you knew what you’re talking about. The tanks on the tractor are used for fertilizer……
Those tanks are normally used for fertilizer, but what I am saying in the video is in this case they are not. The farm fills them up for extra weight to provide more traction. No fertilizer is moving from the front tanks to the drill in this video.
