I’ve always loved the idea of Will sobbing cause he’s gay and nobody understands and all of that, and then El sees him and asks what’s wrong and he just says “I like boys.” And she’s just sitting there like “????” And then she’s like “So do I?? What’s wrong with that??” Cause she didn’t grow up in the homophobic society that everyone else did so she just has no clue that there’s anything “wrong” with being gay

I think because it's a bit more messy. In the show its perfectly round here it's longer.

@@UndersCatts27 Yeah, him and eleven are nice together and Mike even said himself that he's loved her since he met her. It would seem odd to just shove that aside.
@@77Amnita They aren’t shoving it aside? They’ve clearly shown that these two have been having trouble with their relationship since season 3. Mike couldn’t even say that he loved El until Will prompted him in a life or death situation, and even after that El has been acting cold to him in the last episode, so clearly something is still wrong between them.
Honestly, it’s weirder that they’d keep them together, considering that when they originally got together, El barely had a concept of what a friendship was, let alone what it means to be romantically involved. She hasn’t had a single positive human relationship up until making friends with Mike, that isn’t a healthy starting point for something as intimate as a romantic relationship when she doesn’t even know what that means, especially when Mike, the one who she looks to for all the answers about how to function in society, barely has a clue what it means either.
@@blitzer9981 and i think you also forget an entire Eleven arc and development there. Eleven doesnt' count on Mike to look for all the answers about society since season 2. She looks for Hopper, her father. She don't really use Mike as a bags of answers, she ask the meaning of words in s3 sometimes but she's not the one she was in s1. And for a final point, it's a fantasy show. An alien and a human being in love is also weird because they don't have the same living code at all, same as any couple in fantasy story. And that's all. The're not concept of "well they can't be together because she's s lab kid who knew nothing about relationships".
And last thing, please byler fans or any person who use arguments against Mileven, stop using the "he can't say i love you" excuse. This is exhausting especially when the shows have shown us 4 season of Mike difficulty of talking about his feelings of every type, and u all still thinks it's something else.
