- Rachel Bloom, Lisa Whelchel and Kelly hang out with Maria from Kindred Spirits Care Farm and her rescue animals Pierre the goat and Amaya the chicken. Kindred Spirits Care Farm is a special animal sanctuary in Los Angeles that not only rescue animals, but also helps rescue people going through personal trauma. Maria explains how the farm offers programs for adults to come in and heal alongside rescue animals, as well as programs for elementary and high school students to learn about animals, horticulture and composting. Watch till the end for a huge surprise.

I love stories like this! There should be more places that help heal animals so that they can help heal others. Just the joy of bonding with an amazing animal is hard to beat!

Great Info. by "Maria" on "Kindred Spirits Care Farm" !! I sent Karen & Nate my Bio. To Volunteer, ( I had worked on a 120 acre Ranch in Malibu & we built a petting zoo ) They invited me to the Care Farm. "Maria" is an excellent spokes women who has tons of Passion for her work, just pull up more videos. They are a 501-C3 so Donate $ when you can. I say "Passion + Unity = Harmony " and Karen, Nate and "Maria" show it every day !! Brad

Totally agree. The animals that are slaughtered for people to eat can feel pain and emotions. These days there is no reason to eat meat!
