This live show is so Iconic! The way they introduced each song was great! Fake love was so satisfying to watch, and IDOL was just something else! Jimin actually received an award from a Cultural Conservation Society for his performance but with the fan! Dancing with a prop is hard to do since a dancer has control of their body, they loose some control when dancing with a prop. It was executed perfectly and I can’t imagine being in the crowd that night

I watched a dancer’s review on Jhope vs Jimin dances - they described that Jhope dances in straight powerful lines whereas Jimin in curved flowy lines.. like aerobics vs yoga. Both are the best in their own elements
That's so true. I agree with that being their dominant dancing style. I love that they have just enough range to do the opposite when a dance calls for it (even if their natural style is still seen in the foundation). Like in J-Hope's Idol solo, he still had a flowy, delicate quality even as he was popping and locking. Then Jimin's hip hop training shows in how hard he pops in his Fake Love solo and the chorus part even if he's still very airy in his movements. It's amazing watching them move.
Jimin is one of the best dancers. Full stop. He's a phenomenon. Jimin dances from his toes to his fingertips, utilizing all of the space available to him with impeccable technique, breathtaking starts and stops, his commitment to emotional expression - and the fluidity of it all?! 🤯 I'm convinced that Jimin is a conduit: when he dances, something moves *through* him... 6:30 Yes and not only in BTS, Jimin is an amazing dancer period. Not only technically but the way he expresses feelings through dance. He is 1 of the 2 main dancers in BTS (the other is j-hope) and he has danced a long time before joining BTS just like j-hope. Jimin did majored in contemporary dance but is trained in many different types of dance both classical and other.
When people talk about appreciation of RM, Suga n J-Hope they don't mean it in comparison to the vocal line tbh. They mean the acknowledgement of their talent. There is ofcourse no comparison between rappers n vocalists. Thing is people forget the rapline is the spine of BTS when it comes to lyrics n the messaging of the group. It's understandable that the performance aspect n the beautiful singing can be overwhelming. But we can never forget that what set BTS apart was the social commentary through their lyrics, the messages n the depth in their lyricism. And that's 95% the rapline. They write their own verses n RM writes lines for vocal line too. That's why it's extremely important to realise n give props to them atleast equally. Great n honest reaction as always. Not sure if it's in the comments below, but BE was completely done by BTS. It's 100% them. They divided up the tasks, from production, visual concepts (V), to even the packaging design (Suga), etc. This was their gift to Army during the pandemic. Suga actually prefers to have a handheld mic as much as possible because the one worn isn't comfortable for him (ear scar), also he holds it in his left hand which helps protect the left shoulder from too much movement (it used to be injured for years, he underwent a surgery in 2020)

"Idol" is such a beast of a song. They did a performance of this where the cameras show other idols sitting and watching the performance and the whole area that they are sitting in starts to visibly shake. I think "Idol" is the song that nearly collapsed the stage as well. BTS goes hard on "Idol".
yes, that's correct. I forget whether it was a concert or award show but I remember watching the performance in-person and thinking there was an earthquake but turned out it was just bts dancing too aggressively
I actually love RM's singing voice. He doesn't sing often but when he does, he sounds sweet and calming. And there were occasions where I didn't even realize it was him singing, because it sounded so different from his usual tone.

In my opinion I think jimin is the best dancer bc I like contemporary dancing more so I think that’s also why he’s my bias but j-hope’s popping and locking are on another level

And if your guys love Jimin’s dance, then he’s “the best” for you👍🏼 However their choreographer always says it’s Jhope without hesitation. And he also learns choreography the fastest. In my own opinion I think Jimin’s strongest side is when he’s dancing on his own. Solos! And not choreographed group. That’s just my opinion. (And my personal favorite is 100% Jhope, because I’ve never seen anyone dance like him)
This Idol performance is legendary ! J Hope and Jimin are both the main dancers in BTS. In my opinion, they are the best dancers in all the Kpop industry . Jungkook, the lead dancer, is pretty good too, and very impressive, since he have no background in dancing, before he became a trainee under Big Hit (of corse, he only have 13 years old ! ) . This three are named "the 3J" and have some performances as subunit that you should check. I really admire J Hope's skills. As a street dancer, he is the best in popping/locking/isolation. His moves are sharp, very precise, he embodies the rythm. He is also the faster to learn a choregraphy, he see everything, and play the rôle of a dance leader . But my favorite dancer is Jimin, he is the best when it comes to contemporary and modern dance. His dance moves are all in fluidity, sensuality and curve, he is the best to express feelings and emotions. He win some titles of "best Kpop male dancer" or "King of pop" , have the nickname of "rookie bible" because he is the role model of a lot of young Kpop group, his choregraphies (in Lie et Serendipity) are even used to rank the dancers at the end of there trainee period. He is also known outside the Kpop world for his dance skills. In conclusion, J Hope always amazed me when he dance, but Jimin mesmerized me, he is beauty and poetry in motion. We, Army, are such a lucky fandom to have 7 crazy talented and loveable young men in one group ! NB : and the scene with the guys on the couch is a part of Spring day MV NB2 : my other fav Idol performance is Jimin Fallon but the 2020 one (on line, in hanbok) , not the 2018.
i honestly belive that J hope is top 3 in Kpop past and present. Jimin is amazing too, but Jhizzle is in my head a TRUE street dancer that could easily be freestylin real pro dancers and killling choreo.

I agree with you Leah, Hobi is my bias but I have great respect for Jimin's dancing being schooled in contemporary dance, his moves are both elegant and graceful & so beautiful to watch.

Jimin was very already an accomplished dancer predebut. His teacher was so sad to hear him pass the audition because he said world had lost a great artist.

And I admit, it's interesting to wonder what it would have been like if Jimin had followed a life in dance. If you subscribe to the Multiverse Theory, then there is a reality where he did just that. And he would have made his mark on the world of dance. And it would have been beautiful. But he became a member of BTS, and that's the world we live in. And I'm glad. His dance though... in the introduction u watch (Taylor) said the positions of each one. jimin is main like hobi, so is obvious he is one of the best dancers, not only in the group, but in the industry his name is so recognized and has so much respect. him's so versatile because he learned hip hop and contemporany, but with all the years bts has, also learned or did in his own more styles. and for more, along with hobi, is so incredible how he is like a sunshine on the scenario, u cant stop watching him!💜 But even if is famous, in the fandom some people forget his position and dont talk about how power of main Jimin has too. Their live performances are simply amazing. Daughter and I have seen them live 6 times including at the American Music Awards in Las Vegas. Each time you think they can’t amaze you again…they do just that. Their energy comes from the crowd and they deliver a top notch performance every time. So much so that their almost 3 hour show feels like a 30 min show because time does fly when you’re having fun.

Strongly recommend you check out the 2016 MAMA performance - it's got some amazing songs - Blood, Sweat and Tears and Fire in particular. And there's a legendary separate dance performance by J-hope and Jimin that's worth seeing - Jimin is blindfolded which is hard to believe when you see the dancing he pulls off. Jimin is the best dancer, he has a whole legendary dance history behind him before he was an idol (not street dance like J-Hope, but he is 2.). And his material arts experience is a huge + too. He is trained in many dance styles. Before BTS he was even offered to dance overseas and become famous because he is so talented. He was THE top student in his whole dance academy. Edit: And I can't believe that some people are thinking that I'm against Hobi or offending/belittle him just because I said Jimin is the best dancer, that's a bit childish to be honest

The greatest thing is that they are singing live... I love it. The stamina that they had to build is amazing. Not like western artist who show up at award shows or even live and lip sing. It's real and they will always be better because of the realness.

For me J- hope and Jimin are both the best , I can't choose even tho my bias is Jimin when it comes to dancing they are so different but both so amazing that I really can't choose one to be the best for me . But something that maybe you would like to know is that , in the group when asked who is the Best dancer Jimin is the one who has answered this question several times and his answer was always :J hope . Just wanted to point out that in my opinion Jimin has always given the spotlight for best dancer to J-hope. Wich to be honest is a 100% a Jimin thing to do 😂

One of my favorite live performances they’ve done, mostly because of the cultural features they did during IDOL. I love that they not only showed their critics “Westernized? Sez you!”, but basically showed off Korean culture and drew so many people (who weren’t already interested) into researching and looking up all the references they made. Thank you for your enthusiastic reaction! Your excitement and and the delight you show during all your reaction videos is just a lot of fun to watch.
As a Westerner also I so appreciate their work. I get annoyed when watching a live with them and people ask them to speak English. I’d love to know every word they’re saying, but they speak Korean and I don’t! So I wait patiently for subs thanks to translators. Everything they do is so intelligent and more meaningful in my opinion, than “western” artists slithering half nude around on stages or just standing and singing at award shows.
The Idol performance with a taste of Korean culture is definitely one for the books. I love how they incorporate Korean culture in their production. It's so entertaining and always pleasant to the eyes.

@@JohnReavesLive I watch a lot of BTS reactions and find that’s pretty common - Jimin (obviously), and V, often stand out due to the uniqueness of their voices, but JK, hands down has the most reliable, steady voice and more often than not any harmonizing or ad libs you hear - whether behind vocal line or rap line - is JK.

There are compilations of the dances being choreographed to mask mic handoffs. Some of them are crazy smooth. Like, Hobi is rapping ....... two steps ....... Where is Hobi's mic?
Hi John the reason Suga wore a headset in Airplane pt 2 was because he had to interact with the mic stand several times. It would have been to hard and wouldn’t look right to hold the mic stand but be singing into a hand held mic. This is my favorite version of Idol to watch live. It is visually stunning. I love the cultural dances a lot. I am too a westerner LOL I laughed when you reacted to JK lifting up his shirt and showing us how ripped he was and everyone was screaming. The reason I laughed was not at your reaction but remembering last year at the PTD concert in LA JK wore a new crop top for that performance and during the choreo RM pulled on JK shirt pulling it open and there was only one button holding on for dear life preventing full exposure and all of Army wishing it would pop. Army lost it. ROFL You commented about Suga and RM not having singing voices. LOL you are so wrong. You just haven’t gotten to those songs yet. LOL I love both of their singing voices. Suga has famously said that rappers rap into handheld mics…this is why he rarely uses a headset. In Airplane Pt 2, I always assumed he used a headset because of the mics used in the choreo. Otherwise, I always watch too and he almost exclusively holds a mic. 💜

The MAMA award show performances are also amazing as well!! They are well worth a watch :) And when it comes to dancing, both jhope and jimin are the top two dancers in the group as they have a large dedicated background to dance. Jimin specifically contemporary and jhope hip hop with popping and locking. It is hard to choose a “better” dancer because they are both top tier but in slightly different areas. Jhope and jimin are part of the “main dancers” in the group. Jhope learns choreography insanely quickly and to perfection, to the point that he guides and helps teach the choreo to the other members ! He also is soo natural at freestyle. You should definitely watch dancing compilations for both members. Love your vids btw ! :D
To be precise, the main dancers are J-Hope and Jimin, the lead dancer is Jungkook. (In K-pop, the order is Main > Lead > Sub.) The dance line of BTS is J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook and V. main dancers: J-Hope &Jimin lead dancers: Jungkook. J-Hope is said to be a dance leader, not a lead dancer. J-Hope, who is in charge of BTS' dance, is the dance leader. Lead dancers and dance leaders are different. (In foreign countries, the lead is the main position, but in K-pop, it is different, so I think people misunderstand this a lot)
I once heard a ballet teacher say that she thinks J-hope would excel at contemporary dancing if he ever wanted to learn. I haven't been able to stop thinking about that to this day. He's so fluid and delicate in some of his moves that he would be incredible dancing alongside Jimin in something like that.

Speaking about Namjoon and Yoongi singing abilities i hope you will watch someday the Christmas Carol Medley 2019 concert because they sang pretty well it was so cute, and if u like Christmas vibes it's worth it ! All rappers also sing during their Fix you cover. You can also hear Bicycle and Seoul by RM and Seesaw by August D. Also during their mini live PROOF concert during the For Youth song RM sings, i hope you will react to this one very soon cause it was the best live performance ever from a viewer and listener point of view because the sound was on point and BTS with a live band is an other level with incredible arrangements and Anderson Paak at drums was incredible, he added so much depth with his abilities. Just to let you know it was a "private" jam session so no crowd. I know u love the crowd energy but trust me this performance is so freaking enjoyable because u Can see how much fun they had to sing along with this live band and backing vocals. Totally get what you're saying about their individual talents. I absolutely love the instances where Jimin and Suga have parts next to eachother in songs because their voices are such a great contrast. Fake Love is a good example, Spring Day is another. I agree with their positions in that J Hope is the best dancer, even though Jimin is my favourite dancer. I'd never discredit JHope's skills by saying he wasn't the best, he can adapt to every dance style so perfectly, he's THE man!! Can never take my eyes off Jimin though, he's so smooth with it and that's a style I prefer
I agree with the members and choreographer: Jhope is the best. That’s my opinion, but people can think what they want. My second favorite is actually Jungkook. Just because I like the way he moves.
You will also love Mama 2018 Hong Kong. This is the one where JK does the cat walk Airplane2 and Idol. It’s awesome. Also the MAMA 2018 Japan is awesome. Each is different. This one features Fake Love.
BTS have had so many breath taking performances, but this is hands down my favorite awards show performance they have ever done. I had just discovered them and was blown away and well, I fell down the BTS rabbit hole and have never come back up and never will. They are phenomenal performers and artist.

Yes, Jm is the best dancer along with J-Hope. Jm studies art n contemporary dance n he is one of the best. There is something about him n the stage. Everytime he starts dancing the whole crowd go crazy.
Yes Jhope and Jimin are both main dancers, which is the higher up dancers in the dance line. Jk and V are lead dancers which is also a part of the dance line. But obviously they can all dance very well. Hobi (aka Jhope) is the Dance Leader, and there is many many reasons why he has that title. Because its more than just about the dancing itself when it comes to Hobi. Hobi is on another level. His dancing is amazingly insane, and so diverse, and his fundementals and basics, along with his insane body control definitely set him apart. It all just seems so natural to Hobi. But he has been dancing since before he was in BTS, same with Jimin, as in he also has been dancing since before even being apart of BTS. I would just refer you back to the intro videos for more about all that. But again, it's not just about only dancing specifically with Hobi, he also teaches and leads the performances, along with does some choreo, etc....etc...etc... Thats our "Dance Leader," King of Dance," and "King of Performance!" Etc.... That being said Jimin is an amazing dancer as well, especially when it comes to contemporary dance. That is his main area of dance, generally speaking, but he is definitely versatile as well, and has also studied other types of dancing. He is also a "King of Dance." They have both won that type of award/title. Shouldn't really come as much of a surprise though, they are both main dancers and for very good reason. Just like V and Jk are great dancers also and are lead dancers, deservingly so. But honestly each one of the members have all been dancing for a long time now, and it shows. Everyone of them are wonderful dancers. And they are all deserving of that recognition. They are all such hard working, and talented men.💜💜💜

Airplane pt 2, is so groovy, Army is chanting their names it is one of many Army fan chants, (Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hosek, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung Jeon Jungkook, BTS) Idol is massive it is such a happy party sing you cannot helo but scream and dance to it. Hands down, this was my favorite performance. Well ... then there's MMA 2019 with all of them doing solos (I'm not a big fan of Dionysus though, so go figger). 💜 Knowing what I know now, Big Hit spent a ton of money to ensure BTS' success, from the get-go. Backup dancers (really talented backup dancers), huge productions, and their MV's which (imho) have always been a cut above. All those people behind the scenes took a big chance and it paid off. How did Bang Si-hyuk manage to keep all those very talented people motivated to keep moving forward?? Creative freedom? Trust? Someone who could explain the Big Picture in ways that could be understood? Awe inspiring.
This performance is sooooo legendary, especially for us ARMYs, because 'Fake Love' and 'IDOL' were performed in this performance...and those two songs are just very, as in very difficult to perform. 'Fake Love' have high notes all throughout the entire song plus the dance choreo is also fast and is very detailed. 'IDOL' on the other is soooo exhausting as the choreography itself entails not just tons of details but also a lot of complex steps. Idols have tried covering it and they attest to how difficult these songs are.

during Airplane Pt2 the crowd is doing the fan chant during the non singing parts. they usually do it at the start of song (i think they did it 3 times before JK started singing Airplane Pt2. Then sometimes during the song if there are breaks. Chant is always official member order...leader, then age order.
This live show is so Iconic! The way they introduced each song was great! Fake love was so satisfying to watch, and IDOL was just something else! Jimin actually received an award from a Cultural Conservation Society for his performance but with the fan! Dancing with a prop is hard to do since a dancer has control of their body, they loose some control when dancing with a prop. It was executed perfectly and I can’t imagine being in the crowd that night

I watched a dancer’s review on Jhope vs Jimin dances - they described that Jhope dances in straight powerful lines whereas Jimin in curved flowy lines.. like aerobics vs yoga. Both are the best in their own elements

That's so true. I agree with that being their dominant dancing style. I love that they have just enough range to do the opposite when a dance calls for it (even if their natural style is still seen in the foundation). Like in J-Hope's Idol solo, he still had a flowy, delicate quality even as he was popping and locking. Then Jimin's hip hop training shows in how hard he pops in his Fake Love solo and the chorus part even if he's still very airy in his movements. It's amazing watching them move.
Jimin is one of the best dancers. Full stop. He's a phenomenon. Jimin dances from his toes to his fingertips, utilizing all of the space available to him with impeccable technique, breathtaking starts and stops, his commitment to emotional expression - and the fluidity of it all?! 🤯 I'm convinced that Jimin is a conduit: when he dances, something moves *through* him... 6:30 Yes and not only in BTS, Jimin is an amazing dancer period. Not only technically but the way he expresses feelings through dance. He is 1 of the 2 main dancers in BTS (the other is j-hope) and he has danced a long time before joining BTS just like j-hope. Jimin did majored in contemporary dance but is trained in many different types of dance both classical and other.

When people talk about appreciation of RM, Suga n J-Hope they don't mean it in comparison to the vocal line tbh. They mean the acknowledgement of their talent. There is ofcourse no comparison between rappers n vocalists. Thing is people forget the rapline is the spine of BTS when it comes to lyrics n the messaging of the group. It's understandable that the performance aspect n the beautiful singing can be overwhelming. But we can never forget that what set BTS apart was the social commentary through their lyrics, the messages n the depth in their lyricism. And that's 95% the rapline. They write their own verses n RM writes lines for vocal line too. That's why it's extremely important to realise n give props to them atleast equally.

The other thing about the fan dance is traditionally it is performed by women, not men.
Not sure if it's in the comments below, but BE was completely done by BTS. It's 100% them. They divided up the tasks, from production, visual concepts (V), to even the packaging design (Suga), etc. This was their gift to Army during the pandemic. Suga actually prefers to have a handheld mic as much as possible because the one worn isn't comfortable for him (ear scar), also he holds it in his left hand which helps protect the left shoulder from too much movement (it used to be injured for years, he underwent a surgery in 2020)

"Idol" is such a beast of a song. They did a performance of this where the cameras show other idols sitting and watching the performance and the whole area that they are sitting in starts to visibly shake. I think "Idol" is the song that nearly collapsed the stage as well. BTS goes hard on "Idol".
yes, that's correct. I forget whether it was a concert or award show but I remember watching the performance in-person and thinking there was an earthquake but turned out it was just bts dancing too aggressively
I actually love RM's singing voice. He doesn't sing often but when he does, he sounds sweet and calming. And there were occasions where I didn't even realize it was him singing, because it sounded so different from his usual tone.

This Idol performance is legendary ! J Hope and Jimin are both the main dancers in BTS. In my opinion, they are the best dancers in all the Kpop industry . Jungkook, the lead dancer, is pretty good too, and very impressive, since he have no background in dancing, before he became a trainee under Big Hit (of corse, he only have 13 years old ! ) . This three are named "the 3J" and have some performances as subunit that you should check.
I really admire J Hope's skills. As a street dancer, he is the best in popping/locking/isolation. His moves are sharp, very precise, he embodies the rythm. He is also the faster to learn a choregraphy, he see everything, and play the rôle of a dance leader .
But my favorite dancer is Jimin, he is the best when it comes to contemporary and modern dance. His dance moves are all in fluidity, sensuality and curve, he is the best to express feelings and emotions. He win some titles of "best Kpop male dancer" or "King of pop" , have the nickname of "rookie bible" because he is the role model of a lot of young Kpop group, his choregraphies (in Lie et Serendipity) are even used to rank the dancers at the end of there trainee period. He is also known outside the Kpop world for his dance skills.
In conclusion, J Hope always amazed me when he dance, but Jimin mesmerized me, he is beauty and poetry in motion. We, Army, are such a lucky fandom to have 7 crazy talented and loveable young men in one group !

Jimin was very already an accomplished dancer predebut. His teacher was so sad to hear him pass the audition because he said world had lost a great artist.

Their live performances are simply amazing. Daughter and I have seen them live 6 times including at the American Music Awards in Las Vegas. Each time you think they can’t amaze you again…they do just that. Their energy comes from the crowd and they deliver a top notch performance every time. So much so that their almost 3 hour show feels like a 30 min show because time does fly when you’re having fun.

Strongly recommend you check out the 2016 MAMA performance - it's got some amazing songs - Blood, Sweat and Tears and Fire in particular. And there's a legendary separate dance performance by J-hope and Jimin that's worth seeing - Jimin is blindfolded which is hard to believe when you see the dancing he pulls off.

Jimin is the best dancer, he has a whole legendary dance history behind him before he was an idol (not street dance like J-Hope, but he is 2.). And his material arts experience is a huge + too. He is trained in many dance styles. Before BTS he was even offered to dance overseas and become famous because he is so talented. He was THE top student in his whole dance academy.
Edit: And I can't believe that some people are thinking that I'm against Hobi or offending/belittle him just because I said Jimin is the best dancer, that's a bit childish to be honest

The greatest thing is that they are singing live... I love it. The stamina that they had to build is amazing. Not like western artist who show up at award shows or even live and lip sing. It's real and they will always be better because of the realness.

One of my favorite live performances they’ve done, mostly because of the cultural features they did during IDOL. I love that they not only showed their critics “Westernized? Sez you!”, but basically showed off Korean culture and drew so many people (who weren’t already interested) into researching and looking up all the references they made.

As a Westerner also I so appreciate their work. I get annoyed when watching a live with them and people ask them to speak English. I’d love to know every word they’re saying, but they speak Korean and I don’t! So I wait patiently for subs thanks to translators. Everything they do is so intelligent and more meaningful in my opinion, than “western” artists slithering half nude around on stages or just standing and singing at award shows.
The Idol performance with a taste of Korean culture is definitely one for the books. I love how they incorporate Korean culture in their production. It's so entertaining and always pleasant to the eyes.

I have a suggestion I am sure you will love: you should check out the 25th Time Traveller SeoTaiji's concert featuring BTS. Its Iconic! So many genres in one concert. Seo Taigi is a legend because he was one of the founders of modern kpop and people say with this concert he was passing the torch to BTS. The concert is a masterpiece. And if you wish to react to any of the 7 BTS performances there, youtube has it separately. 💜

@@JohnReavesLive I watch a lot of BTS reactions and find that’s pretty common - Jimin (obviously), and V, often stand out due to the uniqueness of their voices, but JK, hands down has the most reliable, steady voice and more often than not any harmonizing or ad libs you hear - whether behind vocal line or rap line - is JK.
@@JohnReavesLive that is so true, if only they will redo all bts songs and remove all of JK's adlibs and harmonization and see if bts songs will still sound as good. For me people who don't appreciate and belittle jk's hardwork and time spent in the studio in all bts songs doesn't know anything about music production period. Ahh by the way in kpop culture the top most vocal in a group is called main vocalist and JK is THE main vocalist of BTS.
There are compilations of the dances being choreographed to mask mic handoffs. Some of them are crazy smooth. Like, Hobi is rapping ....... two steps ....... Where is Hobi's mic?

Hi John the reason Suga wore a headset in Airplane pt 2 was because he had to interact with the mic stand several times. It would have been to hard and wouldn’t look right to hold the mic stand but be singing into a hand held mic.
This is my favorite version of Idol to watch live. It is visually stunning. I love the cultural dances a lot. I am too a westerner LOL
I laughed when you reacted to JK lifting up his shirt and showing us how ripped he was and everyone was screaming. The reason I laughed was not at your reaction but remembering last year at the PTD concert in LA JK wore a new crop top for that performance and during the choreo RM pulled on JK shirt pulling it open and there was only one button holding on for dear life preventing full exposure and all of Army wishing it would pop. Army lost it. ROFL

Yeah….we don’t know what to do with the photo cards either…lol💜 but keep in mind…this is not a concert…it’s award show. There is a running saying…BTS turns all award shows into their concert, and are nice enough to let the award show attend😆

Suga has famously said that rappers rap into handheld mics…this is why he rarely uses a headset. In Airplane Pt 2, I always assumed he used a headset because of the mics used in the choreo. Otherwise, I always watch too and he almost exclusively holds a mic. 💜
It's impossible not to fall in love with the boys' performances aaaaaa!!! When you get to know them more, you become more in love and you can't stop coming out of the rabbit hole. 💜☺️✌🏾

RM is the leader and Jhope is the dance/performance leader. I had to comment here because it’s crazy to me to highlight RM and Suga over Jhope.

3: Jimin was presented with a plaque of appreciation by the Kim Baek Bong Korean Fan Dance Conservation Society for performing the traditional Buchaechum Fan Dance for raising the status and aesthetic value of the Korean fan dance globally.
The MAMA award show performances are also amazing as well!! They are well worth a watch :) And when it comes to dancing, both jhope and jimin are the top two dancers in the group as they have a large dedicated background to dance. Jimin specifically contemporary and jhope hip hop with popping and locking. It is hard to choose a “better” dancer because they are both top tier but in slightly different areas. Jhope and jimin are part of the “main dancers” in the group. Jhope learns choreography insanely quickly and to perfection, to the point that he guides and helps teach the choreo to the other members ! He also is soo natural at freestyle. You should definitely watch dancing compilations for both members. Love your vids btw ! :D

To be precise, the main dancers are J-Hope and Jimin, the lead dancer is Jungkook. (In K-pop, the order is Main > Lead > Sub.) The dance line of BTS is J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook and V.

J-Hope is said to be a dance leader, not a lead dancer. J-Hope, who is in charge of BTS' dance, is the dance leader. Lead dancers and dance leaders are different. (In foreign countries, the lead is the main position, but in K-pop, it is different, so I think people misunderstand this a lot)
the lead dancer is Jungkook, J-Hope is the "dance leader" hence why he helps others with learning the choreo :)
I once heard a ballet teacher say that she thinks J-hope would excel at contemporary dancing if he ever wanted to learn. I haven't been able to stop thinking about that to this day. He's so fluid and delicate in some of his moves that he would be incredible dancing alongside Jimin in something like that.

Speaking about Namjoon and Yoongi singing abilities i hope you will watch someday the Christmas Carol Medley 2019 concert because they sang pretty well it was so cute, and if u like Christmas vibes it's worth it ! All rappers also sing during their Fix you cover. You can also hear Bicycle and Seoul by RM and Seesaw by August D. Also during their mini live PROOF concert during the For Youth song RM sings, i hope you will react to this one very soon cause it was the best live performance ever from a viewer and listener point of view because the sound was on point and BTS with a live band is an other level with incredible arrangements and Anderson Paak at drums was incredible, he added so much depth with his abilities. Just to let you know it was a "private" jam session so no crowd. I know u love the crowd energy but trust me this performance is so freaking enjoyable because u Can see how much fun they had to sing along with this live band and backing vocals. Just pure groovyness 😌💜

Totally get what you're saying about their individual talents. I absolutely love the instances where Jimin and Suga have parts next to eachother in songs because their voices are such a great contrast. Fake Love is a good example, Spring Day is another.
I agree with their positions in that J Hope is the best dancer, even though Jimin is my favourite dancer. I'd never discredit JHope's skills by saying he wasn't the best, he can adapt to every dance style so perfectly, he's THE man!!

BTS have had so many breath taking performances, but this is hands down my favorite awards show performance they have ever done. I had just discovered them and was blown away and well, I fell down the BTS rabbit hole and have never come back up and never will. They are phenomenal performers and artist.

Yes, Jm is the best dancer along with J-Hope. Jm studies art n contemporary dance n he is one of the best. There is something about him n the stage. Everytime he starts dancing the whole crowd go crazy.
Yes Jhope and Jimin are both main dancers, which is the higher up dancers in the dance line. Jk and V are lead dancers which is also a part of the dance line. But obviously they can all dance very well.
Hobi (aka Jhope) is the Dance Leader, and there is many many reasons why he has that title. Because its more than just about the dancing itself when it comes to Hobi. Hobi is on another level. His dancing is amazingly insane, and so diverse, and his fundementals and basics, along with his insane body control definitely set him apart. It all just seems so natural to Hobi. But he has been dancing since before he was in BTS, same with Jimin, as in he also has been dancing since before even being apart of BTS. I would just refer you back to the intro videos for more about all that.
But again, it's not just about only dancing specifically with Hobi, he also teaches and leads the performances, along with does some choreo, etc....etc...etc... Thats our "Dance Leader," King of Dance," and "King of Performance!" Etc....
That being said Jimin is an amazing dancer as well, especially when it comes to contemporary dance. That is his main area of dance, generally speaking, but he is definitely versatile as well, and has also studied other types of dancing. He is also a "King of Dance." They have both won that type of award/title. Shouldn't really come as much of a surprise though,
they are both main dancers and for very good reason. Just like V and Jk are great dancers also and are lead dancers, deservingly so.
But honestly each one of the members have all been dancing for a long time now, and it shows. Everyone of them are wonderful dancers. And they are all deserving of that recognition. They are all such hard working, and talented men.💜💜💜

Airplane pt 2, is so groovy, Army is chanting their names it is one of many Army fan chants, (Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hosek, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung Jeon Jungkook, BTS) Idol is massive it is such a happy party sing you cannot helo but scream and dance to it. Hands down, this was my favorite performance. Well ... then there's MMA 2019 with all of them doing solos (I'm not a big fan of Dionysus though, so go figger). 💜
Knowing what I know now, Big Hit spent a ton of money to ensure BTS' success, from the get-go. Backup dancers (really talented backup dancers), huge productions, and their MV's which (imho) have always been a cut above.
All those people behind the scenes took a big chance and it paid off. How did Bang Si-hyuk manage to keep all those very talented people motivated to keep moving forward?? Creative freedom? Trust? Someone who could explain the Big Picture in ways that could be understood? Awe inspiring.

This performance is sooooo legendary, especially for us ARMYs, because 'Fake Love' and 'IDOL' were performed in this performance...and those two songs are just very, as in very difficult to perform. 'Fake Love' have high notes all throughout the entire song plus the dance choreo is also fast and is very detailed. 'IDOL' on the other is soooo exhausting as the choreography itself entails not just tons of details but also a lot of complex steps. Idols have tried covering it and they attest to how difficult these songs are.
Jin is dancing so good in this. I think he must really like this song?

during Airplane Pt2 the crowd is doing the fan chant during the non singing parts. they usually do it at the start of song (i think they did it 3 times before JK started singing Airplane Pt2. Then sometimes during the song if there are breaks. Chant is always official member order...leader, then age order.
