What a lovely, informative tribute to an important store in CEC history! It's just so surreal to see that a Market Basket Spirits has been opened in the same location. So sad to see such a historical location gone.
Fun Fact - All of those game tickets we left behind in the parking lot scattered around like confetti were completely GONE the next day. Fans had picked up EVERY SINGLE ONE the next day after this webcast!
Love the classic Chuck E. Cheese costume! That's also neat that it started out as a Pizza Time Theatre; the Chuck E. Cheese's that used to be in Brockton MA was opened in 1993 and then closed in 2002, so it didn't have as unique a history.
Omg I remember when The King fell over it is a memories I go back to all the time. I wonder if I was that kid?! I would have been 5 or 6 years old at the time. I remember it so well though!
I have been looking for years and years for pictures of the inside of the cheese factory in danvers not only 1 of my friends knows what I'm talking about and I have been dying to remember what it looked like inside when I was in girl scouts we got to have a sleep over at the danvers store and we stayed up all night playing
Hey you guys! So I have some a Chuck E. Cheese history in my family! My Mom was a young adult in her mid 20’s and early 30’s in the 1980’s when our first Texarkana, Texas location of Chuck E. Cheese’s was next to our Scagg’s/Albertsons grocery store, and she and some friends from her job would go after work to play arcade games and have snacks to relieve stress, and my Mom just loved watching Chuck E. Perform with the different characters until they shut down in 1992 out of Texarkana. Decades later, we got Chuck E. Cheese back in May 2005 at our Central Mall location in Texarkana, Texas, and my Mom and her friends were soo excited that me and their kids (some of my Mom’s job friends were grandparents too in the 2000’s that were folks in their 50’s, so they were excited to take their grandkids) get to experience what they experienced back when they were kids, teens, high school grads, and young working adults from the 80’s and early 90’s. My oldest cousin Julia was the first in our family to have a birthday party at our original Texarkana, Texas location when she was a kid in the 80’s and early 90’s before the 1992 shutdown. I was the second kid in my family to have an August 2005 (because I’m an August Baby) 10th birthday party before I started my first year of 5th grade at Junior High School. Then, my cousins that were both born in December (one cousin was born December 1996, 4 months after me in the same year, and one cousin was born in December 1994), had their first birthday parties at Chuck E. Cheese’s Texarkana location in December 2005 during our Christmas Break, since their birthdays were within our School Break. Anyways, that’s my family history about Chuck E. Cheese’s. I still have all my tokens and stuff from my visits to my Texarkana, Texas location since I’ve been there many times since our second location that was established in 2005 opened with new generations of cousins that visited me from different parts of Texas.
I still see old chuck e mascot in 1980s were ptt and I like it like that of anymore and that great cool you guys and nice recording thing and I hope you can enjoy of whatever you want and you guys do awesome and thanks for that though that tickets they are pretty mess on the packing on that street I know that you been all those of anything of what you see of chuck e cheese picture of photos and I like it I I hope you guys I'll see you guys later so um be safe enjoy. 🐭🐔👽🐶👨🍳❤
You guys are both so interesting I love to hear your stories and see you pictures. For years I had a vague memory of a large "cat" dressed as Elvis singing and I literally thought it was a dream until I found out it was "The King" from CEC in Danvers. I also had a vague memory of a white fun house inside a building which I now believe was the "Cheese Factory" (I found out about the cheese factory and other defunct CEC concepts through various Google searches through the years). CEC in Danvers was a pretty big part of my childhood, I had more than one birthday party there in the early 90's. I love seeing where it started, how it changed, sad to see that the Danvers location is now closed and my son will never get to experience it as I did.
Im sorry its me btw the one who danced and did the birthday show and i was talking eith you guys hopefully i see you again sorry i wont be seeing the characters but if i recconize you ill tap you or something and maybe join in more of the fun have a chuck e day.
Hello there ! You missed seeing Chuck E. and Helen Henny live in person that night! Nice to meet you by the way...maybe we shall meet up again in the future !
Have you ever worked in the theater J? I really liked the story you told of The King that his torso was damaged and the child kept looking at him and, the same robots that were on the balcony stage were the same as the porch stage but with legs?
I have a classic rat costume from the Charlotte,North Carolina Pizza time theater. He has red vest instead. My brother got it from a manager from Showbiz Pizza in Charlotte,N.C.. I loved my Showbiz Pizza.
Yeah, i am a lot older now then i was in 2007. My pal J shown here was not a part of the PTT Show Restoration video series, so that may be why he looks 'different'. That was another fine gent helping restore the Show back then.
I have a question for you guys, I have two of the old wall art pieces from this location I think in my apartment hanging and I was wondering if you had any pictures of them in the actual building. One of them is the “Guess that cheese” game show one and the other is all the characters feet kicked back while at a theater. Wasn’t sure how to best reach yall but hope to hear back!
Brandon Fl was my location in the late 80s early 90s.....I went back recently and the room that the stage that the animatronics were originally in was sealed off. The stage was brought up front. It was weird.

Do you have any footage of bebe bubbles performing
Alrighty then chuck e cheese, ooh yeah oh boy,,
What if they were gone because of a parking lot cleaning company
I got the thumbs up chuck E sign that hung above the entrance! Happy to see it in this video.
The exterior one?
Love the classic Chuck E. Cheese costume!

I have been looking for years and years for pictures of the inside of the cheese factory in danvers not only 1 of my friends knows what I'm talking about and I have been dying to remember what it looked like inside when I was in girl scouts we got to have a sleep over at the danvers store and we stayed up all night playing
Thanks so much for documenting this. I had so many great memories there as a kid. I suppose I have you to thank, for making it such a magical place.

Scott Wilson’s Chuck was always full of adrenaline and made himself and everyone around him feel very celebratory.
I’m going to miss this Chuck E. Cheese’s it sure was a popular store, thank you for showing this video to us.
Awesome video tribute! The memories will always be held close to everyone's hearts. So sad to see it go, but just as Chuck E. said, Keep on smiling!
10:39 OH COOL; I actually made a 3D model of that Prototype Rocker stage for a Virtual Reality Chuck E Cheese's, I used that image as reference.
Danvers was one of the best chuck e cheeses! Thanks for the video! :)

Many of the Munch’s Make Believe Band shows used Fatz’s organ and some even had Jasper Jowls playing a Beach Bear guitar.
Went here all the time with my family.

Also I had a dream about Chuck last night that he was smiling at me I love you Chuck e cheese
I heard that if you try and say "Chuck E. Cheese" without smiling, Chuck would force a smile
I would really want to wear the red derpy hat
What an amazing tribute!
I miss that location. :(
Since it's now closed. Shiny Happy Danvers should be known as Dusty Unhappy Danvers. I don't mean to be hurting its feelings.

I have a classic rat costume from the Charlotte,North Carolina Pizza time theater. He has red vest instead. My brother got it from a manager from Showbiz Pizza in Charlotte,N.C.. I loved my Showbiz Pizza.
Nice ! The red vinyl vest came after the 'checkered' vest shown in this video. It arrived right before the merger with Showbiz Pizza Place in 1984.
well really miss you denvers
would we ever be able to get to see bb bubbles?
this place seemed like a lot of fun... shame it closed :(
At least Danvers didn't have to get 2.0
