I've been wanting to learn how to do this, thank you so much for the simple to follow video
I have watched like a hundred videos searching for this. Thank you very much for sharing.
You're Welcome
Man o man! What a life saver. I've been trying to keep 4 lines together through the tracking, and anything else Mocha related was too convoluted to understand. This was simple and exactly what I needed! Thank you one million times!
Glad it was helpful. 👍🏻
thank you so much! Great tutorial!
Great tutorial. It's so refreshing to watch someone who understands how to communicate. My videos are going to be better now thanks to you!
I'm glad you liked it. Feel free to suggest other videos you would like to see. Thanks for watching!
This exactly. Home boy knows how to communicate and TEACH. So many struggle with it. Awesome tutorial
Wish I could pay you for this video. Helped so much. THANKS!!
This is what I really needed!! thank you very much. please do not erase this video.❤️❤️❤️
great vid, i like the thing you did at the end that makes it trace the property. thats a wonderful finishing touch
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing tutorial! It's worth to mention that it's best to use a full HD size video. I tried using 4K footage from my drone and use the Mocha Tracking and it would only render/track about 1 frame per 15 seconds, but rendering a full HD video was much much faster.
Here’s a general workflow to use proxies with Mocha tracking in After Effects:
Create Proxies in After Effects: Before sending your footage to Mocha, create proxies for your high-resolution files in After Effects. To do this, right-click your footage in the Project Panel, choose "Create Proxy > Movie…" and select a lower resolution setting that’s more manageable for your system.
Work with Proxies: Toggle the "Use Proxies" button in your composition to work with the proxy files instead of the full-res footage. This makes the preview and editing process faster.
Send to Mocha AE: When you apply Mocha to your footage layer (with the proxy enabled), After Effects will send the proxy file to Mocha by default if the proxies are toggled on. However, this might vary based on the version and settings, so you should verify that the correct footage (proxy version) is being analyzed in Mocha.
Tracking in Mocha AE: Perform your tracking in Mocha AE as usual. The tracking process should be faster with the proxy due to the reduced file size and resolution.
Replace with Original Footage: After completing your tracking in Mocha and returning to After Effects, switch back from proxies to the original high-resolution footage before final rendering. Ensure that any tracking data aligns correctly with the high-resolution footage.
By following these steps, you can manage and mitigate performance issues when working with high-resolution footage and complex tracking tasks in Mocha AE. This approach is a bit manual but effective for optimizing your workflow in After Effects.
@@RealVideoFx This is incredible info! Thank you so much!
Thank you so so much ! Similar to the other comments, I tried for hours to use the 3d tracker with no luck. I had no idea about Mocha ! Thank you !

Thank you for your wonderful through explanation. I really appreciate it.
Love the video. It helped a lot. I also like it because you don't try to act cool, and talk about other stuff. You dive right into it. good job
Thank you!
Okay, I have a issue.. I have a clip with * different properties. When I get in back into AE, I have "layers" as a option. It will only allow me to select one property line to highlight, How do i get them all to highlight? If you know, please please leave a detailed message. Thanks
Thank you so much you have made that really easy for me to learn.
you're welcome. Glad it worked for you!
Excellent! Thank you so much.

@@RealVideoFx It's a good day when your frantically trying to find something specific on the Tube and are able to locate it with relative ease, keep doing what your doing brotha.

Thank you! I'm glad it helped!
Thanks, a couple months ago i bought new pc and I now can do this
No idea why your channel isn't ginormous. Best of luck, my friend!
Me neither 😂😂. Thanks for watching!!
Great video. Replicated everything but for some reason when I hit space bar, the lines don't show. Tried a render and only got the lines but not the second layer it was supposed to be on top of. I'll keep working at it. Thank you for this though, I'm one step closer.
Legend!! Thanks for that helpful video. All the best
This is exactly what I was looking for! What's at the end? Do you leave two videos and make a precompose?
I would recommend doing a pre-comp when you are finished before rendering. Yes.
Thank you so so much! Thank you for going step by step
bro this was very easy. Totally worked
Glad to hear that!
Excellent video. Exactly what I was looking for!
Glad it was helpful!
Hello life saver and thank you so much 🙏

Thank you that was a great tutorial much appreciated
You're welcome!
Thank you very much sir! Easy to follow and exactly what I needed dealing with Drone footage, A+++
can you show how to raise the lines z-axis and/or add a shadow to the line?
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you so much
Very helpful
Glad you liked it!
It does not allow me to open the plug in :-(
This is marvelous, the exact video i am looking for. But something is missing..How about if the continuation of the land that I am tracking still wasn't showed in the video, like the continuation of the land is on the left ? how do you track that? I hope you create a video for that as well.
Mocha is a planer tracker so as long as you have a good area tracked on the ground. It will follow the tracking off screen. Best of luck!
your video is great! is there a way to also add tags on the drone footage with mocha?
His video was perfect. I'm definitely gonna sub
That is just perfect!!! Thank you!!!
I'm glad it helped out!
Thanks man , Very nice!
Great job! Thanks for your help!
Glad it helped!
Hello man, great work. Do you think its possible to lift up to raise the choosen area and fill it in with earth to make it look like it has been lifted ?
Hey! Thanks for the kind words! 🙌 Yes, you can totally create that effect of lifting the chosen area and filling it with earth to make it look like it has been raised. Here's how you can approach it:
1. **Track the Area with Mocha**:
First, you’d want to use **Mocha AE** to track the property line or area you want to lift. Once you've got a solid track, export the tracking data for use in After Effects.
2. **Mask and Duplicate the Area**:
Back in After Effects, you can use a mask to isolate the area you want to lift. Duplicate the original footage and apply the mask to that duplicate layer. This will separate the area you want to "raise" from the rest of the scene.
3. **Apply a 3D Layer and Lift**:
Convert the duplicated layer to a **3D layer**. Then, you can adjust the **Position** (mainly the Z-axis) to "raise" the area, giving the illusion that it's being lifted.
4. **Add Earth Fill**:
To make it look like the lifted area is filled with earth, you could create a solid or texture layer (like dirt or earth), position it under the lifted layer, and adjust its 3D position and scale to match. You can also add **shadows** to make the lift more realistic.
5. **Add Shadows and Lighting**:
To sell the effect, you’ll want to add some **shadows** and **lighting** to show the depth of the lifted area. You can use a shadow layer or use a 3D light in After Effects for this.
It’s totally doable, and this method should give you the effect you're looking for. Give it a try and let me know how it works out! 🙌
Thank you. Well done.
Thanks for watching!
Very nicely done! This was explained so much easier than other videos I’ve seen. Do you have any videos showing how to export that clip into Premier Pro?
Not yet!
@@RealVideoFx will def be looking forward to it. Watched a few other videos you e posted and had to subscribe. Keep up the great work man!
Too bad UA-cam doesn't allow 2 likes on 1 video. Great job, man!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
excelente, saludos desde cancun mexico
Gracias 😊
Excellent video. You did a great job explaining.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great tutorial! I’d like to add a text label to the land area, do you have a video to explain this too please?
Are you talking about it looking like a 3d text that overlays the land area?
Thanks
I would love to see how to do full project in commercial real estate drone video
I only have drone pictures which works fine but have several parcels of land. How do I make different clips? Do I make one, save it in Premier Pro, do another one etc.
you can add the still photo directly into After Effects and do the same thing. You just don't need to use mocha. Just the pen tool and animate the pen outline.
this is just what i am needing!! thank you
So glad!
Very good video. Thanks alot mate.
You're welcome!
Would you recommend Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro with the plug in?
It's comes standard with After Effects. So I would go with After Effects. I have both but prefer AE.
Thank you!!!!
you're welcome
amazing explanation...tks!
Glad you liked it
Very useful, thank you for amazing work ! :)
You're very welcome!
thank u bro
This was so helpful, thank you
Amazing tip! Thankyou bro!!!
sick video man. Huge help
Great tutorial! For some reason I can faintly see the outline of my layer before the stroke is finished tracing. Any explanations?
can you share a screenshot?
Same here
Did you end up finding a solution?
When getting to the animation tab every option is greyed out. And yes I have the video clip selected below.
Hi, I have struggled with this using your method which works terrific when the entire area to track is on screen. However, I am scrolling to the right to show lots 1 thru 9 in this new development and they want to highlight each lot as it appears. I keep getting error messages. Can you help?? Thank you so much!☺
Is there a way to fill as well? Like if you want the entire shape to glow red

Can you do an updated tutorial for this, I feel like after effects has changed a ton since this tutorial
Sure!
