Backup vocals on "Bass Boat" are his photographer's fiance, Morgan Meinhart. Second best song on the album, behind Oak Island.
John Mayer fits perfectly on Better Days. Those lil licks add soooo much depth to the song
28 was originally on the piano so ur spot on. it’s also an more heartfelt listen on the piano

I was at a concert in may in Greenville and when Zach was leaving he gave my little brother the handwritten lyrics to bath water, he also got drum sticks and a guitar pick!!

Can you react to whiskey fever by Zach bryan highly underrated.
Zach Bryan is unique, but I always try to figure out who he reminds me of. It is usually somewhere between Steve Earle and John Prine, with some Nebraska-era Springsteen thrown in. In the song 28, I hear a rougher Steve Forbert from his Alive on Arrival album.

Love the subtle connections between songs. Like the Springsteen line “I could smell and hear that northern thunder” on Sandpaper and how it was placed before the Northern Thunder track. Genius!

Came to the comments to say react to some John Moreland. I co-sign this so hard. Great singer songwriter with raw emotion in abundance. Start with "You don't care enough for me to cry" and "Break My Heart Sweetly" and go from there.

Bassboat is the deepest most resonating song in my life ever. Its part of the process of my personal situation of radical acceptance. I hope you will deep dive that one again sometime. The lyrics are telling the deepest i feel Zach ever has gone.
