I don't play Pokemon anymore but I play Mario and Donkey Kong games all the time. Nintendo has been a part of my life since I was 4 years old and still brings me a lot of joy
Flying type pokemon: colorless pokemon with lightning weakness (exception: Honchkrow GX) Normal type pokemon: colorless pokemon with fighting weakness Rock type pokemon: fighting type pokemon with grass weakness. Actual fighting type pokemon: fighting pokemon with psychic weakness. Ground type: fighting type with water weakness (example Excadrill EX and Sudowoodo) The same can be said about differentiating poison and ghost types from psychic types. Pokemon just clubbed them under an umbrella term cause having that many types of basic energies is horrendous
This is sorta what I was wondering if this tcg had. I’d like to play a format were you can only use stage Pokémon. For some reason I love watching vdecks get destroyed by simple and cheap decks.
Awesome! Nice to see attacking colorless getting some love. It's probably the second idea I had right after GLC was announced and I've been working on my list ever since. I really like my version of the list, pretty much every single card in the deck has a specific reason that I chose it. As a kid playing in the Ruby/Sapphire Era I always loved special energies like DCE and Double Rainbow Energy and I brainstormed a deck that could take advantage of as many of them as possible. I then realized if a deck could pull something like that off, it would have to be colorless. I remembered the Aerodactyl from when I first got back into playing the tcg and ofc the GOAT AeroPod deck. I remembered Porygon-Z from some of your meme decks (and also Porygon2 is my second favorite Pokemon). I looked into Z-crystal moves since GLC came out near Bidoof day and you got attacked by a Bidoof with Normalium on stream and did a lot of digging to discover the Flyinium+Tornadus combo. I overlooked the Snorlax probably about 5 times when looking through viable big basics (until I realized it wakes up 75% of the time by your next turn), and it ended up being one of the best cards. I found out about the Slaking from playing random people on the discord server. I knew about Lugia from the last theme deck (the leonzard one). Recently I even added triple acceleration energy after seeing your success with it, even though I was worried about the downsides for a long time. There were just so many cool things I discovered when building a deck for a type that I think most people overlooked, at least for an attacking variant. And I'm very ecstatic that you made a video on it, even though our trainer lineups are a bit different. I'm still working on my list too, I think there's a lot of stuff I still haven't ruled out properly PS: I'm glad you got the kangaskhan Rally Back after Kangaskhan got knocked out the previous turn. That's one of the silliest combos that this deck can pull off imo lol, it's like avenging itself
If the game and the TCG were close the new fusion strike gengar wouldn't be weak to fighting. If anything it should resist it and be weak the grass IMO
Acualy lucario is a fighting and steel type Pokémon in the game anyway that is how it is I’m surprised they did not confirm a machamp v and vmax that would of been good
"Should probably get a real job" Please never say that about yourself again. Even in jest. You're living the dream. Will you take a look at the jumpluf decidueye list by any chance? I help with creating the deck and it would mean a lot if you could give us your toughts on it
Wouldn’t the tcg, video game and the show all be different universes. Main reason is you can’t dodge an attack in the tcg or game but you can if the show
Lol if this is going to go official format... I mean why not! He have "remove for ever" legacy format... And this is very cool. I mean if no 100% official at least on ptcgo mode
32:23 no just attack and k.o? I mean opponent looks like have no creazy good abilities... If just attack taken one price, remove 3 energy and if opponent kill you back you can still kill him in return
Missed a GOLDEN opportunity to win by Cinccino! But otherwise, a fantastic deck and a really great pair of matches. Excited to be playing some more Gym Leader Challenge this week, including at the 1k this Sunday!

I am 33 and a truck driver you keep my love for this game going knowing there are people my age that play this. Keep it up.
I just discovered the Pokemon TCG at 23 and I absolutely love it! There's no age to stop having fun
Same here!

GX Pokémon: Banned in GLC
Aerodactyl: 180 damage if no GX Pokémon in play
Tornadus: Uses a GX attack anyway
This is such a funny combination!
It's amazing 😂
32!? Damn, grandpa! What was it like playing Pokemon back when the cards were carved out of stone?
Agreed, rock and ground type? They're all just fighting types!
Poison? Do you mean Grass? Or, maybe Psychic? ...Dark?
I love seeing the diversity of pokemon in these gym leader challenges!

Really glad to see another GLC video.
Been waiting forever for this video! Colourless by far my favourite deck type in glc. The single strike tauros is an insane card for here
Also stoked you took tankmins list featuring the flyinium Z. Even if it’s not the most “ideal card” having a gx attack is so fun

If you think about it, every type is Fighting Type
I think colourless is my favourite type in gym leader challenge and with the new dunsparce comming it's gonna be even better
My style has changed alot.over the years, but I swear you play cardgames better in a hoodie and backwards hat 🧢
Double Colorless Energy, the first Special Energy, and still pretty good after all these years!
I'm still hoping TPCI caves and allows HGSS era cards in TCG Live. Those energy cards look fantastic
hearing him talk about how polished tcg live is gonna be is hilarious in hindsight
Maaaaaaaaaan
Leave your VMAXes at home! Oh I laughed so hard.
Their weaknesses tell you their type, not just their color
It's a that time of month again!
Hitmonchan Hit and run could be funny to play in this mode I guess

Would love to see a deck profile for the new deoxys with all the strikes in it!
nice vid! also, link in the description is broken. there's an extra period in front of gym
Togekiss vmax and charizard
loved it as always!
I feel like chat forgot Pidgey is also a normal type and not just flying type.
What’s a normal type Pokémon
Faire type gcl plz : )
Do you think with the delay they may have expanded ready at the release? If not how long do you think it will take before it is?
The second to last turn could you just make do get the power energy and drop the muscle band to one shot the slug?

There should be robot or machine type pokemon.
And since when does tankmin play aspertia city gym? As an avid tankmin follower this misinformation irks me
Is this a fan made tier ??
Yes!
He made this format himself
for steel type there is an aggron who hit 240 wath a broken thing

You can avoid attacks in the games though. And I guess with coin flip abilities you can “avoid” attacks in the tcg.

Can u make how to make a good Pokemon deck please :)

Slaking can't attack two turns in a row, part of the downside to his massive attack.
