goobon hey man thanks! Dude I remember watching that version of Conditioned or Unconditional that you pitched down! Good stuff. There will be more CKY content soon, though I have 2 Metallica videos (one retrospective and a one-off what if video) and an Owen Artist Spotlight down the pipeline beforehand. Possibly a Sleep Terror vid too! But eventually we’ll have a nice super long Carver City video!
@@adarkerstandard haha, funny thing. Met Deron at a 96BB show last week and he remembers that video too. I'll definitely stick around for this type of content.
Dude every song is a masterpiece tbh timeless and I think my favorites are Sara Mask & Halfway House. You did a very accurate amazing review bro. That fucking riff in To All Of You
Going through a CKY phase and your video is furthering the experience! Knee Deep is repetitive but so great, THAT RIFF. Not the weakest on the album in my opinion.
Found out about CKY through Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and 17yrs later Vol.1 & IDR remain in my top 10 favorite albums. I like the B-Sides and Rarities they released after Deron left quite a bit too, I just wish genesis12a instrumental wouldve been included on the main release.
One of the things I love most about cky. The guitar riffs are the foundation and rhythm for every song. It’s so rare to find a band or artist with the ability to make the guitar riffs rather then bass and drums the rhythm and base of theyre songs. The riffs are so powerful it over rides the other instruments to the point you only need a simplistic mild drum beat and accompanying bass line to complete the songs. Which is why every song they Write is an absolute masterpiece. Literally no other bands do it the way CKy does. Plus the synths on vol1 and IDR along with derons riffs is so fucking genius such a phenomenal underrated band deron is a fucking musical wizard.
I'm only about halfway through this video but its insanely impressive. Your editing is on point and you're super knowledgeable. Thank you for uploading this!
To All of You changed my life in a big way. Loved this album but that song killed it. And the anticipation of IDR after finding Volume 1 is something I’ll never forget. My friends and I, 14 years old in fn Wisconsin frantically trying to find real physical copies of IDR at the Sam Goodie at our mall when it was finally released was totally worth the effort. Long live CKY 🤘🤘
This and your other CKY videos are really great. Poignant and deep analysis of some of my favorite records and favorite bands of all time. Thanks so much for these!
LakeJetner thanks man! I took a long break while releasing an album and working out some occupational shit..buuut I’m working on an Owen vid, a Metallica vid and a Faith No More Vid before the final chapter in the CKY saga!
Such an awesome video! All of your knowledge of the band and song history, personal stories about some of the tracks, and super polished editing and sound mixing made this a super engaging watch all the way through! Can't wait to show this to my little brother who got me into CKY.
Glad to all of you had the same effect it did you on that it did me the first time I listened to it. That was actually the first cky song I ever heard. “Unmitigated melancholy” was a great way to put it
I haven't listened or thought about this album in years, but it was one of the first albums I was really big into back when I first started listening to music. To All of You was my favourite. It's only now after hearing that it was inspired by My Bloody Valentine that I realise it's a shoegaze song. Without me realising it that song is probably most responsible for how my taste in music would go on to develop.

You forgot to mention Rio Bravo reprise and Halfway House. What are your thoughts on those. I like the album version of Halfway compared to the version on B Sides volume 1
Wow. You've gained a new fan for sure. Awesome video and as a lifelong CKY fan this is greatly appreciated.

To all of you, is the best CKY song created.

The version of All of You on B-Sides and Rarities is so amazing, you should listen to it if you haven’t yet

A Darker Standard Great to hear! Looking forward to them!
I'm glad you pointed out that Chad's vocals are prominent in Chad's In Hi-Fi, hence the name. Probably my favorite version of Hi-Fi!
Lmao, American Football at the beginning

These Cky videos are amazing… good shit, new subscriber
We need a Carver City Review
I love your input and video on this! So much info I know now!
Awesome video. And nice nod to the OC-2.

Promiscuous daughter is one of my favorites believe it or not the riffs are so mean
Damn bro. Watching him do vocals and play the shit he's playing is gnarly.
23:13 well that came out of left field💀💀
I think I may have cried to Sara's Mask once so hearing this was crazy lol. It's like polar opposites lmao

Damn bro you didn’t get into cky till 2013? Shit bro I discovered them right when vol 1 dropped it was something special to be a part of at the time
Same here but I was a skater and this was all over the scene. Landspeed was off the hook too
Haha. I love you takes on your reviews 😂. ‘I love some stuff that maybe shouldn’t love?? but also saying… yea that’s a croc of $h!t’ lol
Awesome video! Thanks!
You going to be doing a review of Carver City?
Glad I watched this before buying CKY.

Halfway House is pretty bass driven
Fuck yeah
Sick
🤘🏻🤘🏻
#justiceforryanbruni
Ya I truly believe chad is a better producer/engineer than a guitar player and even band owner/member
At 2:05 it sounds like a This End Up song but I’ve never heard it, what’s the name of that song?
Flesh Cycle from the 1994 Third Hand Fact demo.
Carver City??
Dude you have to do carver city and the Phoenix
Ohh hey it's you again haha glad to see someone who loves cky like I do 🤘
lol I’ll review the phoniex for you right now on this comment.
My review of the phoenix:
TRASH
Absolute travesty
Should’ve never happened
Where is Carver City
You forgot to mention Rio Bravo reprise and Halfway House. What are your thoughts on those. I like the album version of Halfway compared to the version on B Sides volume 1
Haa you must’ve turned it off a little early no? Keep watching, you’ll see
what's the music in the first few seconds of tha video
Subbed
9:26 what is Chad doing there 😂
Carver City?
@@adarkerstandard There is a god. Thanks man
It's not often we get videos for cky. It is good to see they still have loyal fans even to this day
