I have a Roland V-Synth, it is almost 20 years old, you can simply paint parameter automation on its touch screen. Yamaha makes excellent gear that isn't very user friendly.

In principle, I agree. But once you figure one out, the others are similar enough to make the learning curve less daunting. I started out with a Motif ES, Then an XF. Lots of similarities I imagine the same with Montage. But yes, lots of screens to navigate.

Thanks for all those tips. Would be great for next TTL with FMX that is shown hot to buid generic sounds, such as wind or sea effects !
