But evem tho depression is viewed as a disorder for others and some hates depression I just accept depression as a helpful trial of life its not a weakness its a trial it makes you understand things truly and see beauty through ugliness and also see ugliness in beauty sometimes.

Fun fact when Steven turns into a monster you can see at the beginning he actually isn’t trying to hurt anyone or anything but instead his movement mirror someone who is having a panic attack and who is scared.
Yea!! He even has mostly scared expressions, and outright seems to intentionally smash his own head against the cliff, which... ouch,,
I am prone to panic attacks, I can relate to how he felt. How he smashed Alexandrite off him when she grabbed him or they couldn't get through to him by simply saying, "Relax Steven." You just need what he needed, someone to tell you that no matter what, they are there for you.

I love Steven Universe Future, it's emotional and therefore often unsettling, but so meaningful and needed. As a kid who grew up with all kinds of emotional trauma I understand a lot of what Steven goes through in this show. I was slightly older than he was when I started unraveling it all, but not so much so that I can't see huge parallels in my own life. One of my favorite parts is when he is in the hospital with Connie's mom and she is just so shocked at all the trauma and lack of what she thinks of as normalcy. That's not to say Connie's mother isn't flawed, and it's clear Connie will still have her own emotional battles to deal with from her childhood, should she so choose, but it's clear her often overbearing protection, focus on education, and growth left Connie in a very different state. The fact that Connie is still hiding things from her mother (like Steven choosing to propose) means she still feels the force of her upbringing. Talking about childhood also leaves me to think about Greg and his childhood and how by giving Steven no structure he felt like he was doing the right thing since he was so trapped, but Steven, of course, can't understand this and only sees at that time what he missed out on, and all Greg can see is how much misery he saved his son.
Ultimately raising a child and choosing the right path for them is hard and we are all bound to be messed up. Growth is hard but we should continue to keep growing.

Fun Fact about Steven's full name is that, apparently, that IS his legal full name. If you pause to see his registration paperwork at the hospital in Growing Pains, you can see that that is his full name as well the fact that he is considered retired at 16.

Initially, I wondered why Steven was proposing to Connie when we haven't even seen them go on an actual date. Then I thought back to Sadie's line when Steven was surprised that she and Lars had tried to reconnect but it had never gone anywhere. It was private. Connie was clearly into the romantic picnic before Stephen popped the question and they were making plans to meet at a bed & breakfast, the most romantic of hotel accommodations.

HOWEVER, Rebecca never said that there won't be a series continuation somewhere down the line, they did say however that both the they and the characters need time to themselves. (most likely cause hey uhhh adult Steven is a thing cmon man let's be real here we all know they probably want to do that.)

Fun fact: Rebecca explains in an interview that the reason Steven went to Jasper, of all people, in Fragments is because her opinion of him feels more geniune to Steven - that her words of him being weak, or pathetic, or nothing without his friends etc. are things he believes more in than whatever other people, his friends, family, may say, and so, he thought that she would be able to give more reasonable advice that isn't unbiased (of course, he was very, very wrong :">)

1. It would have plenty of action moments for those that want it

I react to minor stress in a big way all the time sort of like Steven did in future because bigger problems I didn't get over. I've had a crazy childhood (obviously nothing like Steven's though) and a lot of problems. I once tried to write down every major problem I had and couldn't. My life was a constant panic attack and I was always busy and I started stress eating and trying to change myself and junk. But then since I had friends that I helped , they helped me once I actually said stuff. I even learned how to accept myself. And now I can talk to my therapist while I was too scared before, and I've started taking my anxiety medicine like I'm supposed to, and I just started meditation and I haven't had one single panic attack yet. That being said, it's only been about a week since I started meditating. But usually I have 10 on a daily basis. So I think that is a major improvement

10:30 "Everything stays" will remain my favourite song till I die, it's so important to me and has helped me through a lot. I used to get a lot of panic attacks and somehow my brain hardwired that song into a recovery method and so I'd sing it over and over till they would stop. Yeah you are right but who else kinda wants a spin off of Lars and the Off Colours and it takes place while they were space pirates and some of the villains could be Emerald, Pyrope and Demantoid Garnet (from Steven Universe Save the Light), the Rubies, Citrines, and Morganite, also they could make a spin off of during steven universe future where they meet Flint and Chert as originally Flint and Chert were going to be off colours but they scrapped that idea as I think the other off colours had like physical defects whereas Flint and Chert just didnt want to fight, but yeah

idk if someone already talked about it, but I like to apply Steven to the reality of a trans person (I know he's not trans, it's just an association). like, before he was Rose Quartz (representing his birth gender: a woman) and becoming Steven, a man, and all the trouble for gems to understand that he's not Rose Quartz anymore is people who are closed-minded and cannot understand how someone can be who they want to be
It's such a shame she had to fight for some episodes to get aired and Cartoon Network was so controlling with what kind of episodes they wanted. I feel the show could have been so much better if Cartoon Network let RS show all the content she wanted to
not only that, but also because of international funding. Rebecca had to push for garnet's wedding episode and cartoon network warned her that it could reduce the funding for the show, and it did. They had to rush the chnage your mind arc because of the show's shortened life-span, including SUF. However, garnet's wedding episode did make it easier for other shows to have more representation.

I've been watching Steven universe since it aired in may 2013. I'm 22 now. Ik that's not considered "old" but I'm never going to grow out of it. I bought all the seasons on DVD and my kids will be watching this well into my 30's. It changed the game for me honestly. Especially touching on mental illness like ptsd and separation anxiety

#67 THIS is what I keep telling everyone. Sure the pacing of the story sucks, sure it could’ve gone ALOT better, but everyone forgets that cartoons have never done this before, at least not such in depth. Every cartoon always goes “It’s the main character!! He’s invincible!! :D” and Steven Universe doesn’t do that. It’s a unique and new perspective and they need credit for that. Steven Universe will be the inspiration for future shows to explore this concept.
You must not watch many cartoons if you believe that. Steven Universe is highly regarded as doing it the worst compared to other lore-heavy cartoons…

With number 80 there's an OK KO Easter egg in Steven Universe the movie that nobody has pointed out from what I've seen. If you pay attention to the rock show scene you see sour cream is dressed up exactly like KO.
