  • In Today's lesson I'll go over a popular guitar technique called tapping, used commonly in metal, metalcore, djent and thall. Both for lead and rhythms, this style can be used for writing deathcore parts while using djent guitar techniques. From Eddie Van Halen to Gojira, this guitar trick is sure to help with your songwriting.
I'm Brendon Padjasek of the band Structures from Toronto, Canada and welcome to my channel based on modern metal, djent, and deathcore music, production, mixing and song writing.

Im not sure if you've already done this in a video, 10 stock ableton plugins and ways to use them like expensive plugins? That would be pretty cool

@ThisxFate oh yeah I’ve been meaning to make a “stock plugin mix” kind of video. Great idea!

Love myself a little tapping! How about a video where you show how you go about recording a "normal" bass? Like plugins you use for it, in the mix tricks , what is a good bass tone and what isn't , etc. Cheers

@BrendonKPadjasek awesome!!! That would be so sick!! Im always struggling to get a good mix on my screams with stock plugins due to my lack of knowledge. And most tutorials are generally using expensive plugins. Btw, absolutely loved hearing you on the new northlane song!!!!

Thank you so much! I decided a while ago that I don't want to become another Review channel and I'd much rather show tips and techniques to help other musicians out. Are there any specific videos you'd like me to make?

Cool man even for someone dabbling in tapping, this gave me some ideas for my currently unfinished song. It's more triplet based than straight 8ths and 16ths so some fun things to maybe incorporate 👍

One video I'd love with your spin on it, is how to write drums. Such as, what drum structure looks like, habits when writing parts, how to come up with or implement fills, etc. Amateur guys like me don't need professional levels of writing, just enough to lay an idea down for song structure. A video that did a really good video on it with how it laid out information was How to write drums for non drummers by 8 bit music theory. Would love to see your spin on it.
Your multicam video was huge for me and helped me make awesome videos.

Excellent video. Inspired me to sit down and jam. Can’t play at the moment which sucks but……oh well. Gotta say though man, the action on that baritone 6 at the beginning looked painfully high, how do you do it?

    • @BrendonKPadjasek
