      rzrselliott easy come easy go...... it’s better to be alone during this work, that way your lady don’t try to tap into what you make. While your at work she is balling out buying up a bunch of bullshit. True to words. I’d edit that quote to “ if you want a relationship or family this ain’t the job for you” I’d like to offer this bit of advice. When and if anyone reading this is headed out there to work, when you make that money put it away from the beginning, because you feel like you have a career, but that career can end in a second, it is based on more than just hired or fired, the president and his orders can effect weather you make that money or not. I was flowback in Colorado and all the restrictions placed by higher up people effected my job, one day your week off turns into unemployed. You have a 1600 mortgage, multiple vehicles and people relying on you, the money you thought was savings ends up going fast because you were living beyond your means. Also the house you bought for above 200 g’s is now worth 140,000. Because of the property value inflation cause of the boom. This is real life, and very easy can happen to anyone. This is only part of all the drama I went through, figured I’d share for anyone reading so that maybe my mistakes can help them.. also I’m trying to get back to flowback in ND anyone out there

    I did Flowback for three years prior to getting on with cog. Takes a certain person to stay gone that long by yourself!

    That is awesome video. I also did flowback for Pioneer. It was always changing on us as well. We did a test site where we had a 4 well pad and all of them was a different system. One was Rita pump, one was atmospheric nitrogen injection, One was natural gas compression, and the other was water jet injection on backside. Never had seen so much equipment at the same time. Anyways the Rita pump was overall the best but the natural gas compression was the most cost effective. Love me some wise county gas/oil.

    I remember once on location we had just gotten out there to rig up for coil tubing. I kept telling my partner, "Bro I smell something funky." He said "Dude they're cleaning the portapotties don't worry about it." I said "Fuck that shit bro I know how shit smells and I know how gas smells." Went and told company man, came to the separaters and sure enough there was a leak. I probably saved all our lives that day. Had to have a whole ass other safety meeting again.

    Hell yeah. I just managed to wiggle my way into flowback by getting in with doing Non Destructive testing. I'd love to be able to do your job.

    Great intro to your work site, learned a lot. I am looking into a jobs in the oil field. What kind a money do flow back jobs bring?

    I hate flowing oil wells. Nothing like doing a test on a gas well and and after 4 weeks still having over 3000 psi. Nice to flare for a bit too.

    Is a flow back job the same as lease pumper or pumper gauger?

    • @Coatomc
      @Coatomc 6 років тому +1

      Stephen Su no sir, the pumper does the same job but is a permanent position and they use permanent production equipment. Flowback is temporary, they stay long enough to get the well “stabilized”

    Would the equipment you're describing be all that is used for the standard flowback/well tester job? Any other videos you could recommend that might help? I just got hired on as a flow back hand and want to get a head start.
