MY FIRST TIG WELDING PASS! Getting trained by a professional welder in the basics of Tig welding.

I decided to wrangle my brother, a professional welder of 15 years or so, to teach me how to tig weld. This is my first few passes with a Tig rig ever, with a few good tips on what to be mindful of while Tig welding. I hope to evolve this skill into a better option for bodywork in the future.

Nothing wrong with a lift Tig machine I still use mine every so often for steel repairs and sanitary stainless steel repairs it's a chineseum susemse MiG-235 it's my first welding machine from Amazon got it for $225 delivered to the house..... For the last 3 years I have a Primeweld Tig 225x w/ Maxcool 3000 watercooler and CK worldwide flex-loc torch makes it a perfect setup for everything I need to do... 😊😊😊 Don't get discouraged about it practice makes perfect most people don't know how to weld lift Tig & scratch starting TIG welding it's a good thing to know that if you are out in the middle of nowhere all you have is a lift Tig machine....

Thanks man, it works just as good, but I wish I hand never experienced the pedal start till I was efficient at the touch to start. But it does just as well! Thanks for watching

My welderwill let me switch between High Frequency (HF Tig) start and Lift TIG. Maybe that one does too somewhere?
Still learning too. Good video.

The Pro Tig 200 will start from just stepping on the pedal, but the omni pro 220 has to lift start to the best of my knowledge. thanks for the comment!
