I also saw some similar glass elevators in 2013 at a shopping centre in the Gold Coast, but I can't remember which suburb it was in (possibly Surfers Paradise). However, those ones were a lot faster than the ones in this video.

The second lift has been replaced with a Schindler 5500 series MRL traction lift.
Near Myer but they were demolished in favour for 2 new Kone lifts
If you set the playback speed to 2, it will speed the painfully slow lifts up.
I wish I could ask the centre if I could keep the old buttons. (The lexan ones) and the map lol
Hate to say this, but the description is wrong. Macquarie Centre is in MACQUARIE PARK, not North Ryde!!!
Macquarie Park is a relatively new suburb name. The area Macquarie Centre is in used to be part of North Ryde
I mean, they were removed.
Those Otis scenic elevators are not as slow as the one in Redbank Plains, which was way too slow.

They were in front of JB Hi-Fi (level 4), Myer (levels 3 and 2), or Target (level 1).
