Enjoyable to watch, as always!
I like watching you work through the dilemmas of the game! 👍🎉 ❤️
You and that elusive redhead! 😝😊
Will this prompt hinder me moving forward with this challenge? Maybe one of my books will surprise me and have a redhead.
I started listening to Anne of Green Gables. I'm really enjoying it, so if you have it on your TBR or want a good classic. She is a red head.
I do want to reread Anne someday but I don't have book one currently.
You have such a good variety of books to read for April! It's so fun to watch you build your monthly TBR! I haven't picked all my books for April yet. My first read is The Wishing Game by Meg Shaffer. I hope you have a wonderful Easter!💐🐰🌻
Happy Easter to you too. I enjoy playing the game even if it likes to challenge me.
Lose spot suggestions : big book (ie 500+ page book), pick 2 books for one prompt, pick 2 prompts and the book has to match both, finish a series, read from an author you didn’t like before, book with a cover you aren’t drawn to, roll the die and go back that many places, add a turn/book, book you previously gave up on
That's for some great suggestions. 👍 I will definitely be using some of these when I make the cards.
🌷💗
You ended up with a nice mix of authors and genres for April! The Berlin Letters by Katherine Reay is waiting for me at the library - I am really looking forward to that. I have enjoyed Tamara Alexander. Her books are faith filled readers peopled with layered, deep characters. Looking forward to your thoughts on these books!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Tamera Alexander. I will be starting her book soon. Hope you have a great reading month.
I know there’s a redhead on Laura Frantz’s book A Bound Heart. I think it’s what it’s called. Looks like a lovely stack!
Thanks for the suggestion.
This was so fun!! If you’re looking for a book with a red head and you like fast pace, intense, suspenseful, and humor. C.C. Warrens has a really good series called Holly, the first book is called Criss Cross and the main character Holly is a red head.
I've seen this series around, I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
What a ride! The rating for Dear Henry makes sense to me, I DNf'd it but I know Katie and Amanda loved it. Hoping it is a better read for you! My most anticipated for April, A Beautiful Disguise by Roseanna M. White. Happy Easter 🙏🌼🌸🙂
We'll see how I feel about it. Game took me on a ride for sure.
I hope you find a redhead! That is a hard prompt to fulfill. I hope your reads go well. Have a great month.
I'll be paying close attention to the hair color of each character as I read in April 😅
I am going to read The Maid of Ballymacool by Jennifer Diebel. The girl on the cover had red hair.
If you have an Audible account you can listen to the audiobooks for the Tamera Alexander series. The series is called Timber Ridge Reflections. Book 1 From a Distance, book 2 Beyond This Moment and book 3 Within My Heart. I did not see the ebooks on any platform.
I'll check this out.
My suggestion for a redhead character is Sandra Orchard's Port Aster Secrets series.
Thanks for the suggestion.
You’re doing great on your bingo! I’ve only marked off like 6. Hoping to check off 1 this month. You’ve got a good pile of books for April. That is pretty shocking about Dear Henry. I really liked that book. I gave it 4⭐️. Hope you have a good Easter!
I'm making much better progress on it than I did last year. I am still so shocked about the rating of Dear Henry as I've heard so many people say they enjoyed it. Hopefully I will too.
@@JaneReads I hope so, too. The townspeople make the book. I laughed a lot.
I started reading, “Into The Whirlwind” by Elizabeth Camden that I am hoping to finish in April. I am also hoping to finish or almost finish “Manhood: The Masculine Virtues America Needs” by Senator Josh Hawley. Maybe I will be able to start “A Light to My Path” by Lynn Austin. It is the last book in her Refiner’s Fire series, so I will be able to complete one of the two series I have started between 2022 and 2023.
I'm always for completing series. It's an accomplishment.
The Good Sister by Jess Ryder has two red haired girls on the cover .
I've never heard of this book, I'll need to look it up.
Really? Dear Henry, Love Edith was lowest rated?😱😳🥺
I was shocked 😲
i think you should be nice to yourself and if you can’t get your hands on book 1 use the next book in the randomizer that is doable! Same with other prompts if it gives you book 3 and you’re on book 2, I say read book 2! Ofc only if you want to play that way but I think showing yourself some grace is always great 🫶🏼
Thanks for the encouragement. I've found that adding a book later in the series is hard, but it always encourages me to prioritize progressing in the series quicker.
