I mean, I love Muse's theatricality and classical influences, but what REALLY hooked me was how absolutely unhinged they were when they really ROCKED OUT (example: this song). I mean... Origins of Symmetry (in my opinion their best album) was the perfect blend of insane hard rock and theatricality. I think theyve drifted some from it Thoughts?
I totally agree. I think Uprising had good lyrics, though. But it did get saved by those 3 songs. The classic Muse fans want the rock Muse back. And that includes myself. I loved Absolution, Showbiz, and even Hullabaloo. They were wild and daring, but now they seem like everyone else with this album: Techno and Pop and with no personality. WE MISS MUSE!
well, if what they've been saying's true it'll be more of a theatre trip than a gig :) dom's suspended three metres above the heads of the audience, and chris and matt are on podiums which are going up and down. and we're seeing more of the Wembley Blackout acrobats under the baloons :D gonna be epic though, no matter what :)

Consider a break, where they took their logic over their skill. Obviously that album wasn't their best work. But lyrically every song is genius. They will be back later on to show a little more of their insane hard rock and theatricality. It's a nice break and I throughly enjoy the album lol so until then enjoy some other music unless your a hardcore muse fan like myself :0

In my opinion, resistance is probably the worst album - although its still good. I just dont think i have given it enough time to flow through me, much unlike Absolution origin + showbiz. Black holes, many underestimate, but i have finally "got" it, as in i finally know how it is as good as the other albums. Just listen to BH&R a few times fully without stopping, overall may be a bit boring, but in specific moments it truley shines. I am now aiming to find that in the resistance :D
It's a fairly average album , but its saved by unnatural selection, resistance and mk ultra. Check out US live on their support tour of u2, its fantastic - better than most of BH&R, which was very over-rated imo

If you don't like this version, I really reccomend listening to the live version on the Hullalaboo album. That one will surely rock your socks off.

Wembley is over-rated like BH&R too, not a patch on Glastonbury or Reading. imo, of course!
