To that special person reading this: from the bottom of my heart, and every cell of me, I pray for out of this world happiness for you that you soon cry out of joy! You deserve every happiness! You deserve every raindrop of blessings. I uploaded a really deep story of mine yesterday on my channel fighting mental illness, raising 8 kids under age 12 and creating videos is HARD. But i am passionate to uplift lives. keep believing in yourself where ever you are

I KNOW God used this channel and Marisa Peer to change my life. After listening to her and other episodes of WOI I finally fell in love with my own self at age 34.
I have been rejected my whole life by both my parents, sister and men. My mother has always been extremelly abusive and I grew up hearing her say she should have aborted me, that I am a piece of shit and that she wishes I die. And I believed that, until few weeks ago when God finally set me free from that internal rejection.
Today I love myself, I accept myself and I know I am beautiful, enough, important and loved by God! Every night before I fall asleep I say out loud 10 beautiful things about myself. And when I wake up I say out loud "I love myself" and I look at the mirror and say "good morning marvelous".
Thank you Marisa and Lisa for your beautiful work.

Always I was the "perfect girl", the smart one at school and university in my country. Now I am living in Germany and I feel like a total failure, going through heavy anxiety and even depression sometimes because I still want to be the perfect one, the best at the university here. But that is irreal because here is full of smart people, and I feel so tiny. It's so good to have this kind of interview from which we can learn and relearn how our brain works and how feelings and thoughts really affect the reality we create day by day. Thank you very much for this great interview.

Hey, same.

I realize my negative thoughts come from my childhood and I struggle daily. right now I feel like I'm in a fight with my mind that hits me from out of no where. In my mind I am screaming. I sometimes don't sleep at night. Now, I have come across this video and I am watching with the hope of understanding ME and the HOPE of BREAKING away for those negative thoughts that stick like S**t.

I'm so sorry you've been dealing with that. Idk if this can help you or not, but challenging the familial criticism with how God thinks of me and sees me has been one of the only things that has helped me.
This means you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
      You are worth everything.
You are loved and you don't have to do anything to be loved. You just are for all of eternity and every moment of your life.
You are more than a conqueror.
      You are altogether beautiful.
I hope some of these can help you. These words are the truth not the criticism and hurtful words you have heard that have cut so deep.
And I just want to say, you are an amazing person. You have gifts inside you only you can share with the world in the unique way you do. You are so valuable. In all of existence, there will never be another you.
I know I'm a stranger but I relate to your experience. I don't know what things are like for you, but I'm sending you love and I hope you're doing alright.

It’s so true that the mind is so powerful. Thoughts are real because it’s what you’ve allowed your mind to think.. garbage in garbage out .. good in and good out! so then control what and who you let in. Very powerful concept for living our lives to the full positive of its capacity 🤓🤗

So I was born in 1970.
I'm of Italian American ancestry...we did not talk back. Ever. Nobody wants the wooden spoon.
So now I have teenage boys. I'm trying to teach them how to speak up, discuss their preferences in a way that gets heard, is effective.
Quite challenging, indeed, to parent in a way one was never parented.
It's like Marissa says, what happens when your kid is 15 and their friends want to make questionable decisions?
Thank you, Lisa & #TeamLisa for getting this message out there today.

I need a moment to absorb and undertand what I just heard, maybe replay this a couple of times, especially the last part about our childhoods and the inner child and the words we tell our children/have been told as children... like damn! A whole bunch of stuff just suddenly popped into my mind about myself and my childhood and I feel as if I've had several revelations about me... now I'm gonna start being more concious of my thoughts and the words I tell myself while working through my issues, thank you for this!

Oh wow, Thank you Lisa for interviewing gorgeous Marisa. I love her! You can tell she really cares
Right at the end of this interview is what helped me to understand why I never had an opinion. As a child, I was not allowed to question anything, I had to go by commands, no questions asked, no ifs no buts otherwise my mother’s violence came out! I was also ridiculed for being feminine and like Lisa I was always told I was cute, then suddenly I began to be told I had a rude head, was ugly etc then weird thing happened I got to my mid 20’s and was constantly asked if I was a model, I would laugh because I’m 5ft No inches! Lol 💖💖💖

Funny thing with me is when I overworry and think/expect the worse - the opposite/ best happen. And when I don't worry about a certain outcome and relax about something - issues come.

When people don't care, it's because they can't, because they are too overwhelmed or stressed. Our options are to subtly support them to be less stressed and have patience until they are strong enough to be able to care, or to get our needs met elsewhere if push comes to shove and we run out of options for lessening our or our partner's stress.

People who rebel because Marissa is right there are people who naturally do they all have one thing in common - have a naturally strong desire to go in the opposite direction of what you are telling them, they almost become rebellious against authority. Like a Mother saying don't touch that, hot! My Mother did this with both myself and my sister - me, I backed away, Mom said I had the sense to but my sister wanted to touch the iron in her hand and came forward!
The way around someone who has that desire to go against everything I find is - you don't try to tell them what to do but I've found that if you stop saying quickly what you would like them to do and give that up, stop doing it and tell them they've a choice and you can't make them doing you don't want them to do and suddenly you'll find they've done a 180 and are more inclined to suddenly want to help you but only when they feel there is no pressure and you back off them, because there are certain types of people you can tell what to do and they will, the people pleasers and so they will do things, especially if it's linked to your approval which you're either going to love or hate, like you've got yourself a lap dog and don't they have a back bone - or it leaves these people wide open for someone to start controlling them!

Well it's like if you say something you don't believe like trying to tell yourself you're excited when your body's telling you you're bricking it and your brain knows you don't really believe this, it doesn't like that. It tells you you're being stupid or silly and you fall back into old habits easily. The mind is used to what it is used to.
I also find if you are positive and trying to give someone a different way to think or throw in another perspective like
"you're not dying, you're just having a bad day." Or, "don't worry, things happen for a reason. I'm sure things will work out."
But even I've learnt from experience if someone does say "don't worry" then you actually do - so it goes to show if someone is angry about something and they're trying to vent and you're doing this they'll quickly find someone else to talk to become their friend because they want others to sympathize and agree they are having a hard time and they don't want any positivity but if someone is doing that, always on a downer having a moan, they don't want to change because their negative thoughts are their reality and to individuals who think this way will think you're not being very sensitive and you don't get it but if you told someone that you like being down it gives them something to moan about they'd be ever so angry and hurt because that's not necessarily true, it's just, they don't want to change their opinions and their thoughts are their reality and then like minded people tend to look for each other and group together.

Great video, it reminds me 8 months ago, when I was so poor and broke that I could barely afford a meal a day. I remember that I had to take the biggest step in my life when I invested my last income with a specialist trader who works with a Forex trading company. It may seem little, but it took courage to know that investing was the right thing to do at that moment. Today, my small investment of just $ 1000 raised more than $ 150,000. Honestly, to succeed, you need to take a big step. That's where it all starts. Forex is also a good investment.

Hi Anna, I'm really motivated by your story. But I'd love to know if you could give me any information on how I could reach the professional forex trader you worked with?

I had interest in forex but I was discouraged after I lost over $11,000 doing that on my own😔

@@leofreddie7278 Oh dear, you don't have to trade on your own, you need a professional trader to guide you through the process.

I remember being told by my Mother don't answer back and I feel that I didn't have an opinion that mattered.
I am wondering if this could have caused me not bother having an opinion and not questioning my parents?

My mother always threatened to through me out, at 13 years old she tried to give me to foster care, i showed the foster mother how bad I could act, needless to say I went home with the person that gave birth to me, now know that's why I have never felt safe, loved or secure,.
    Until now,
