Thanks, I was looking to also connect a device and im pretty sure I will go this way. I didnt want to run a cable to the fuse box like most people recommended
Thanks a lot, that helped me installing it without problems! I just bought the wrong pliers, so I had to solder the cables to the pins, for I could not press the pins tight enough with a small pliers.
Hi Lindsey, I'm going to be doing the exact same thing to mine but not sure on the correct pins to buy. Can you tell me where you bought yours or the correct pin size? Thanks
Do you know if there's an accessory connector under the seat as well? The quadlock wireless charger comes with a long weathertight USB connector, so would rather mount the 12v->USB socket adapter there if possible.
@Mothman It was only described as the 2 pin sumitomo connector, I got it from Motozone in Kihikihi, they ordered it in for me ( I think from thier supplier Whites? ).
Keep up with these tutorial/mod vids man. Super helpful!
I will try, I haven't got anything further planned yet but that can change pretty rapidly if I find something I like the look of.

glad it helped
Thanks just finished doing the same on mine , Cheers 🎉
Thank you. You provided valuable insite!
No problem, I couldn't find much info on it so thought it was a good idea to make a video. MT09 is meant to be similiar from what I hear.
Great and informative video. ThankYou!
Thanks, I thought I'd be the test dummy since I couldn't find much info!
That spot on very easy well done thank you
Not a problem, easy enough and hopefully helps a few people out.
Details about the radar detector would be great.
It's a Adaptiv TPX 3, got it from radardirect.co.nz install is pretty straight forward but I can make a video if it would be useful.
Links for the exact products you purchased please. Can we extend the cable on the USB to be able to install on the handlebar?

Under the seat I am unsure what's what under there, I did attach my radar directly to the battery terminals under the seat, very accessible.
Mind posting links for exact kit you used, including the clip? Cheers mate ✌️
8 months and no update.
So much value beyond USB installtion. Can you please provide the exact Sumitomo connector that was used?
So I got the wrong one locally here in New Zealand but this link is the correct one.

Hey, is this conection 12V?
yes, the connector on the bike is 12v, the USB port brings it down to USB standard voltage though.
