Go back and listen to those first 3 albums, they’re absolutely stacked with great songs! They just had 3/4 songs massively overplayed which put everyone off them. What If, Are You Ready, My Own Prison, Bullets, Faceless Man, Weathered, Is This The End, Who’s Got My Back?, Hide….. And that’s without naming their big hit singles. Seriously underrated.

Yeah, along with Halloween, btw, the song What's this life for played at the end credits of Halloween 20 years later , i really liked it , that's how i found out about the band and the song
The production, writing, composition, and, dare I say, message of this song are flawless. As much as I prefer other genres of music, this is excellent work.
Sam perry Many people and music connoisseurs like alter bridge but man Creed was something that moved masses and the feeling of listening to scott stapp's lyrics is something that myles still can't reach.
That's where alot of people have Creed confused. They're not a Christian band, they're not religious. Their music comes from the soul. There's spiritual, and then there is religious. And believe it or not they're complete opposites. Scott doesn't tell you to read the Bible or follow the 10 commandments. He doesn't sit here and try to convince you that Jesus Christ died and resurrected for your sins. He sings of the truth. The truth of Love and Life. Which is a truth that can be accepted by those of any religion or belief. He sings for the broken people. The lost souls trying to find a way to peace. That, my dear friends, has no religion. No, this is not a Christian band.
+Zach Kissell Apparently, you've never actually read or heard an interview with Mark Tremonti or any other members of Creed, because they've repeatedly said that while certain members may consider themselves to be Christian and many of Scott's lyrics deal with religious issues, they're not a Christian band.
@@samsonbutron1091 a lot of bands talk about satan in their lyrics... that does not mean they are satan worship band. I have no doubt that some or all of the band members are Christian but that doesn't make them a Christian band.. Christian bands sing Christian rock. And this is not Christian rock. I don't understand how people can love their music one day and then they find out that some of them are Christians and all of a sudden they hate their music... some people blame the fact that the lead singer had a drug problem and that is why people hated them. Most of the bands that I have liked over the years have had drug and or alcohol problems... rock, pop etc..... addiction has gotten to all of them. But people want to hate Creed for that??? or the fact that some of them are Christian??? but its ok to not have a religion, its ok to be anything other than a Christian, how sad

This was the best years of rock. from the late 1990s to the early to mid 2000s. That time span had the best rock. People might argue that the 80s had the best rock but I think the best rock is in that time span. 97 or 98 to 2004 or 2005 then it went to shit and now American music is garbage.
I agree partially. On the other note, not only american music these days is 'different', look what Britian gave us in 60's, 70's..and now its like an open sewer with dead bodies in it, utter tripe.
Yes you are so right. The bands I saw live were so much fun in the 90's. Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Limp Bizket.... Why did hard rock die out? Something happened, I believe it was the Corporations that started to force us to like musicians for their politics and not for their talent. I think in 5 or 10 years hard rock will punch back when the little metro tran boys hear what manly music that raises your blood pressure and makes you feel alive.
Creed are getting back together. The hard-rock quartet - Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall - have been on hiatus since 2012, but in 2024, they'll be reuniting onstage for their first performances in a long 12 years. Jul. 13, 2023

Was about to comment something to this effect but you beat me to it lol
Does anyone know is Creed still together?.
@@lorettaquerry2814 Scott was in Art of Anarchy, the last I heard. The rest of the band is more focused on Alter Bridge.
Short of a few makeshift reunions here and there they are pretty much broken up.
@@TheShadowBrigade thank you for the information.😊
I don't remember alot from my childhood but I will never forget the day I heard creed. Creed helped me change my taste in music from top 40 to rock and without rock I would of never got into metal and without metal I would of never have gotten into multiple other genres. It all started with Creed
nothetruth22
Woah
Same here, except the band was KoRn
Glad yall got into the finding great music mine was from 80s hair metal lol found Metallica thru that then rest is history
Lol... it's was almost the exact same for me. Top 40, pop lame stuff then 1999 came. This album and Offspring Americana. The rest is history lol
Yo same
2023 and this song still rocks! And will ever do! I started listening to Creed about the time they released 'Weathered'! That album came with songs that banged a lot here in Brasil, making the band very known here. I became a huge fan and bought all the previous albuns! Today i am 34, Creed is my favorite band and i listen to them every single day.
That puts you at somewhere around 10 when this song was released. I'm 53 and this CD has been stuck in my truck's CD player for 18 years. LoL
Somos 2 pra sempre uma nostalgia Eterno Creed
"What consumes your thoughts, controls your life....", very true and profound.
I'm on a job and this song popped in my head out of no where.. a true testament to good music is timeless
I've been listening to this song for 20 years. I still love it as much as I ever have.
This song has been stuck in my head all day and I've been quietly singing it and tonight in the car I was listening to the radio and this song came on. I blast it
@@napiersh1 Rock on
I swear I could dead lift 1000 lbs listening to this song. No other song in the world gets me more pumped up than this.
This song is epic, definitely one of their harder songs, and hats off to the bass player, sounds killer in my beats pods.
I don't care what people think Scott Stabbed is one of the best rock singers in the World
Scott stapp
3:07 When I was 4-5 years old, I thought he was singing "Water, water, water!"
My logic was something like "They're playing this heavy rock & Roll. They're definitely going to need water!"
I literally laughed out loud for real reading your comment ❤🤣
😲 😮 omg too funny I must say
Water 💦 okay I can hear it now as you said didn't before now I can't help but laugh
Too darn funny... I've got to give that one to you as the fire bursts out oddly makes sense
I needed a laugh soooo much right at this exact minute this could not have been better timing
Thank you
say what u want about these guys, creed fucking rocks
Peter George they have some good songs. Everyone thinks their like the softest 90s band. Which, is half right half wrong XD
Peter George. yes they do
Can’t believe they get put in the same basket as nickleback
Go back and listen to those first 3 albums, they’re absolutely stacked with great songs! They just had 3/4 songs massively overplayed which put everyone off them. What If, Are You Ready, My Own Prison, Bullets, Faceless Man, Weathered, Is This The End, Who’s Got My Back?, Hide….. And that’s without naming their big hit singles. Seriously underrated.
Creed very underrated rock band. Still jammin...
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate the bass player is literally playing the bass straight up?
Brian is GOD
“The more you hold us down, the more we press on”
Hell yeah! The guitars and music push me on!?!? What if I??? I love it.. 🎶🎼🎶🎶
This song is a real banger. I’m questioning why I ever jumped on the Creed sucks bandwagon when I was a huge fan during the Human Clay and My Own Prison eras. So excited they are reunited!
One of best bands ever!
Scream... One of the greatest movie franchises ever. I'm not a fan of Creed, but this song rocks.
Yeah, along with Halloween, btw, the song What's this life for played at the end credits of Halloween 20 years later , i really liked it , that's how i found out about the band and the song
For some reason, ever since I was a kid my favorite part of this video has been Scott's headbang at 2:18. Don't know why. Just looks really cool.
Xander Cage I have lot of similar micro moments in GnRs estranged video.
The production, writing, composition, and, dare I say, message of this song are flawless.
As much as I prefer other genres of music, this is excellent work.
it' a "scream 3" soundtrack
The vocals and riffs are badass!!
Yes I agree Scott and the guys did a good job on this song.😀.
Alter bridge have great riffs and solos too👌
Sam perry Many people and music connoisseurs like alter bridge but man Creed was something that moved masses and the feeling of listening to scott stapp's lyrics is something that myles still can't reach.
Most badass Creed intro.
I CAN’T FIND THE RHYME IN ALL MY REASON, LOST SENSE OF TIME AND ALL SEASONS 🤘🤘🤘
This song just comes out of the gate hard
FACTS!!
+Jaren Sulcer no theyve said it in amillion interviews they were christian rock
+Zach Kissell Apparently, you've never actually read or heard an interview with Mark Tremonti or any other members of Creed, because they've repeatedly said that while certain members may consider themselves to be Christian and many of Scott's lyrics deal with religious issues, they're not a Christian band.
Jaren Sulcer lol its ok to like em even if they are a Christian band dude, no ones gonna revoke your atheist card i promise.
"When you are here with me I'm free I'm careless I believe" very clear a Christian song
Creed is one of the BEST bands EVER.
I WISH they would settle their differences and get back together
I had the vhs of scream 3 and it included this music video, loved it
same here!
Me too . And I overplayed it so much lol
You get a 90's ribbon for that
Elias Villa same and still and I’m never giving it away for that reason!!!
Me too I still have it
HELL YEAH I'M STILL LISTENING IN 2019
C'MON BRO WTF IS your problem buddy
YES! Standard gym tune for me. Got their album back in 1999 and still groove to it.
@@DahakaMatthew hopefully you didn't buy it at a piece of shit corporation store
Haha same here brother !!
I'm still listening too bro
Nice and heavy
One of the true great bands from that era never got enough positive attention

Idk man they played in the Super Bowl I think they did alright
Drums are clean and crisp. Shit is banging
I wrote, "Position Freedom," as a public plea for help, while in a bad, bad marriage and living in Selma NC. Now, I've been through homelessness over the last four years in Raleigh NC and I'm on the very brink of it again. Im trying to write something to help because of the lack of resources and funding but goodness gracious I don't know how long I can hang on to this edge!
Arguably the best song Creed has ever written and produced. Love it.
What if
Bullets
Tremonti was the head of Creed not Scott! 🤘 Metal Guy
This was a great opening song for the album. What if your whole life could be judged like a crime!
I've loved creed since my first cassette!!! I'm 63 and wish they would get back together ,even if its just a farewell tour ,,would love to see them in concert once ,,my oldest daughter got to meet them in Nashville ,,,
“What if your words could be judged like a crime” 🔥🔥🔥
They can be,technically.
One of my favorite rock bands!!!!
CREED ROX MY SOX!!
Even as an Atheist Creed's music knocked me the fug over 😂😅
One of my favorite Creed songs and I believe it's one of their hardest ones.
Creed still slaps in 2021 👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It's amazing how many of these songs get little accolade. By the way Creed still kills it - I used to listen to this CD from the beginning to the very end - oh yeah... I still do...
+TopTenGamer Yes you're right dude.. For me, their songs are perfect :)
+TopTenGamer I love it too but I want to download it to my mp3 and I am having a problem
haha what's the problem?
+TopTenGamer maybe because they're shit?
+TopTenGamer Creed will always rock!!
Man that riff is huge...love it
The opening riff in this song is my favorite they didn't use it in this video but the original version has it.
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment.
This was the best years of rock. from the late 1990s to the early to mid 2000s. That time span had the best rock. People might argue that the 80s had the best rock but I think the best rock is in that time span. 97 or 98 to 2004 or 2005 then it went to shit and now American music is garbage.
the 80s had the best rock
Andrei x not alternative rock.
I agree partially. On the other note, not only american music these days is 'different', look what Britian gave us in 60's, 70's..and now its like an open sewer with dead bodies in it, utter tripe.
no it was the worst years
Yes you are so right.
This is seriously an underrated classic from Creed.
This music video was my nightmare fuel as a child when my parents used to have the DVD, I'm 17 now, so I was prolly 6-7 then
Creed are getting back together. The hard-rock quartet - Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall - have been on hiatus since 2012, but in 2024, they'll be reuniting onstage for their first performances in a long 12 years. Jul. 13, 2023
Whoever is still listening to Creed in 2020 give this a big Covid-19 thumbs up 👍? Always always always the best
People shit on Creed but this song absolutely slaps
I consider this to be creeds pinnacle song. I am eager to hear their new work
Can I say this.....screw any haters.....how much money are they making......creed is a Christian Band.....and I think it's AWESOME THEY KNOW HOW TO ROCK......that's a God thing.......
When he says “forked tongues and bitter mouths” I always thought he was saying “four tons, and better miles, can drive a man to bleed from inside out” as in he was talking about grown men fighting over their trucks😂😂
My favorite Creed song!
👍👍👍
"What if your words could be judged like a crime?"
Predicted the future on that one
creed is actually good and people are lying when they say they suck. Tremonti is a genius.
Scott voice is so much deeper and harder than Pearl James lead singer :).So for those who compare ,you just find excuses to hate .This song is so electrifing
MONSTER riffs in this song.
I cant wait for my lord to avenge me. I have been battling this life which has put me down all the ones who have hurt me and there is no lying in the eyes of God. He will know what they did to me. All the pain and darkness that has been placed within. Sewn by the wicked. May god help you if i find you.
Excellent vocals.... power and strength barking right at the listener.
Im 34 and still listen to this song now
Me too
I'm 41. Rock on.
Well im 33 ..
Well im 33 ..
Creed works really hard in the beginning and it shows just the amount of talent that Mark Scott and the whole band just bring such an intensity you don't really see that with bands nowadays
