He's one of those guys, that plays those Cinematic Videogames with barely any gameplay. Which is fitting, for most of his worse games requier you to put in more than just watch cutscenes
Im honestly surprised his favorite platformer isn't some shitty roblox obby considering he thinks battle for bikini bottom and the motherfucking over the hedge game are the best the genre has to offer.
Battle for Bikini Bottom isn't a bad game, but the way he praises it like a story-driven game is just so odd. Most people who would normally heavily praise a game like it usually preface their praise by saying that it's a childhood favorite.
@@aguy2181No the fuck it ain’t. I’ve played both as of recent, and while Battle for Bikini Bottom is good it has none of the free movement and fluidity of Mario 64.

I find it absolutely hilarious that GM13 put Persona 5 Royal one spot higher than the Over the Hedge game🤣. Speaking of Persona, I wonder what his opinions are on the other games in the series and the other JRPGs Atlus makes like Shin Megami Tensei.
Gm13's taste on gaming is very bizarre since he only care about the story driven genre than other genre games that are more entertaining than cinematic games (same thing with his taste on movies where it's mostly kids and family films but there's rated r movies which are as entertaining and fun as movies that are made for kids and families)
As an autist, can confirm: films like Deadpool, Alien and Pitch Black which are made for adults are just as fun and entertaining as films like The Land Before Time and The Emperor's New Groove. Same thing with cinematic and non-cinematic games: story-driven titles like The Secret of Monkey Island are just as engrossing as gameplay-driven ones like the Doom series. Gaming Magic 13 is just a perfect example of a User; he doesn't care about gameplay-first games and adult films, which is odd considering he'd be up for that sorta thing considering his profane running gag of telling the work of fiction to "fuck off" over a clip of someone getting smacked by a wine bottle.
I think Doki Doki Literature Club is a fine enough game, it just sucks that memes ruined any semblance of horror or mystery behind the game's narrative. It doesn't help that Monika is a stereotypical yandere character, with her major gimmick being her acknowledgement of the player and her role in the dating sim. I never thought I'd quote Red Bard in my entire life, but their point about Monika killing and deleting her classmates because the player doesn't choose her near the beginning of the game is stupid, because that's like getting angry at someone for ordering soup when only given the option between soup and salad, but you wanted them to get a sandwich. It insures the plot happens no matter what. I think the game would've been better if Monika was also a choice and if you chose her, the game would be a conventional dating sim. But if you decided to choose anyone else, then it would devolve into a horror game.
I absolutely love DDLC and is one of my personal favorite games but i truly understand if people don't vibe with it with how the community is. It's basically a VN Omori before Omori was released and (just like it) is a wonderful commentary of mental health & trauma.
I used to really like DDLC but now It’s just kind of sad because I feel like the game’s completely lost it’s identity as a horror game, and now it’s just a regular generic anime visual game with how the fanbase currently is and how the current IP holders (whoever they are) advertise the game and merchandise and whatever.
If someone showed you just the games on his list and asked you to figure out what the title of the list is, you would never figure it out. Does he not understand what BEST and OF ALL TIME mean?
Blur's work on the Halo Wars games and the Anniversary graphics of 2 are the best cinematics in the series, even if I prefer playing the latter in classic graphics for consistency.
Portal 2 would be on my top 10 for sure...only one from his list Id have on mine. I could not stand how pretentious the message in Undertale was, I wasnt spoiled when I first played and by the time i got away from the Goat Mom i knew exactly what the theme was and what the game wanted to tell me and I had no interest exploring the world and characters. I got spoiled on Doki and I was glad to never have played it as I immediately new what story it wanted to tell all the way through because Ive seen it before.
Yeah, this list is just User to the max. Now, TBF, my list of favourite games would have some odd choices (I.E. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Doom 3, both Chronicles of Riddick games) and I do like games that have bad reputations (Silent Hill: Homecoming), but it seems GM13 plays cinematic videogames with barely any gameplay, be they fun, engaging QTE adventures (Until Dawn) or pretentious wankfests for equally pretentious redditors (Gone Home). And it seems he IS reddit-brained, because his exceptions on this list are what someone on that site would love (Doki Doki Literature Club, Persona 5). Look, despite my obvious grievances and biases, _it's okay to play what you want and enjoy what you want._ I repeat. You should have your own taste in games and despite my "reddit" insults, you can love games like Gone Home, DDLC and Persona 5. But GM13 treating this list as his "Best of All Time" rather than personal favourites and treating it as objective fact is the sort of thing a User would do. Don't treat your preferences as fact. Treat them as your own personal feelings and opinions.
