Such a huge fan ive never missed a video since the day I've subscribed and u inspire me so much to never give up on photography and I'll be taking a college photography class this year or next year and I'm in the 11th grade.
Awesome videooo!! I love Tokyo, been there multiple times with my family but I've never had the chance to take photos in places which you go to. Also, have you been to Takeshita dori? its a shopping street just a station or two over from Shibuya and it is quite a sight, I recommend you go there, keep up the great content
Awesome video Hayden, I am inspired by you keep up the good work. Will you ever come to India, (if yes plzz come to Mumbai) it has a great diversity and perfect locations for your shoots. Keep Rising
Hey don't worry about what people think about you doing in japan. there are people everywhere to stop you don't think it is the culture it is just annoying people in every country. In Japan people think its culture but in India they are just annoying people ( the tourist think like that ) hope nothing ever stops you and keep the hard work going
Heyyy, I'm looking to buy a camera for both Filming and Photography but I don't know what I should get, I would love to have a 4k camera and that is still great for filming, and should I be worried about if the camera crops the footage to be able to record 4k? Been watching your vids way back, love your work. So cool to see someone who comes from Melbourne like me be successful.
People hate crop bodies on paper, but they're easy work-arounds. Most cropped 4k bodies are to prevent overheating (thus why they crop in on the sensor and don't use all the available pixels). Ensure the camera produces a proper bitrate and you'll still maintain the same details and quality. I'm currenting shooting on the 5dMIV by Canon and the crop has never been an issue. The video codec on the otherhand is another monster. A dream to colour grade with C-Log, but brutal on the harddrive space. I'm very happy with it, again, don't focus so much on 4K, but more bitrate and detail processing and you'll be good to go.
#QOTD: Hey Hayden, Im just starting photography after doing work with video for a few years. I kind of want to do photo and Video together in a vlog like style but I live in a really small, boring town. What kind of things can I do to always keep it interesting?
#QOTD Hey Hayden, I’ve been watching your videos for a while & was wondering how you go about with watermarks on your photos. I usually watermark my photos but it’s a very low key watermark so then it doesn’t take away from the photo. Also, if I was doing a gig where I was the photographer at a party, should I use a watermark then or leave the image after a little bit of Lightroom. Thanks, keep up the good work
Hey I can suggest that man of QOTD to just take black and white photos with high contrast. It would surely look great. Make use of everything you got..
I've never watched a "vlog" and felt like I really need to see more. Please make a short film 30+ minutes of you in any country even if it's in your hometown. I'd suggest you monetize your videos by making them a bit longer. I know that you'll maintain the quality regardless of the length of the video.
#QoTD hey hayden, i recently bought my first dslr with the kit lens (18-55). How much do you reccommend buying a second lens? Can you give some suggestions? 😁
While I defended you before with kawasaki warehouse, that was illegal.... Japan takes rooftopping extremely seriously you do need permission and you need to be aware of the others in the building.
Sorry, let’s start with the downer. You crossed a line, you were illegally entering private property. You got away with it, but I’d encourage people not to do it. Partly for your sake, but also selfishly for foreigners like me who have chosen to make Japan their home. Whenever folks cause problems, we all get tarred with the same brush. Ok, now the positive. Regarding the QOTD about colour perception disability. I’d like to echo your response about it not necessarily being a problem. To the person who asked the question, check out a UA-camr called Sean Tucker. Great photographer, he’s also said he has a disability regarding colour perception but works around it. It can be done.
What are you the police? Have you ever climbed a roof for a good photo sake? It’s fucking exhilarating and extremely worth it. No need to act like the police here, it all worked out and that’s the best feeling. Live life a little more, break the rules and stop living by a certain code. Later Nancy.
what I don't get about this is that Hayden says HE wants to go get this shot on this building, gets up the top of the building and his friend is the one who takes the photo making it his friends photo not his then he is the one who edits it.
Hey Hayden this is for qotd. I’m very young and want to get into photography but don’t know how I will. I feel as if I don’t have all the fancy gear and might not have the time. Please help if you can! Cheers.
Your intro chalk and shutter voice will definitely give Goosebumps to every photographer 💯💯💯
absolute all round bloody legend who vlogs, does photography and holidays. you put so much on the line for us, keep it up
Rooftopping is such an amazing thing to do as a photographer/filmmaker! Sadly in Zurich aren't that many sick rooftops...
Best part of this post was your response to the QOD. Excellent advice.
The making of the image was actually more exciting than the image itself.
Thanks sooooo much for sharing super mint photos of my country to the world😌
This is amazing!!! Geez it’s like every time you drop new content you inspire me to do new things. I’m definitely finding myself a rooftop 🤣 !!!!

QOTD: If I were to visit Australia where would you recommend for taking pictures?
Hi, rooftop photography is one of the most difficult things to do in India. Access to too of those buildings is seemingly impossible.
#QOTD : how do you get fonts that are you using in your videos?? like japan font . are they free or you pay for it?
Japan looks unreal
#QOTD Hi, what is the best camera to start photography???

Does Mike have a YT channel ??
#QoTD hey hayden, i recently bought my first dslr with the kit lens (18-55). How much do you reccommend buying a second lens? Can you give some suggestions? 😁
Ali Hussain 50mm F1.8 is a good fun first lens
Matthew Robinson That what I did, the 50mm 1.8 is the cheapest canon lens and is great in most situations
If U ever think about to come to small Belgium, Ur Welcome
While I defended you before with kawasaki warehouse, that was illegal.... Japan takes rooftopping extremely seriously you do need permission and you need to be aware of the others in the building.
Yea, it's called trespassing and is illegal in japan. The laws state that you can serve up to 3 years in prison and/or be charged up to 100.000 yen.
Take the risk or lose the chance
Bullshit
