Lol I’m up at 2:30 most mornings and force myself to lay in bed till 3:30 and then tip toe downstairs , make coffee and hubbies lunch then it’s seeing what she’s cooking.
I love her idea of using bags in the freezer….since I’ve seen that video I’m making up camping meals and putting them into $1 store bags for grab and go meals to put in the camper when it’s time to pack it….I think it’ll save time and make it so less tiring running back and forth trying to pack it all the day of. Having just what I need each meal will save on hauling a lot in and out….
I just love how food is beautiful to her and how her meals are simple but hearty and yummy looking…

I love watching your channel. Down south we grew up picking Strawberries, I am am 72 now. Little tip, we always washed our strawberries with stems on. Then cut stems off, if wash after cutting stems they get water in them. Ponchatoula Louisiana is known for our great Strawberry Festival, just had it 2 weeks ago. Thank you for sharing your videos I still learn a lot at my old age. 🥰❤️

Hi Renea, I just received your "Sweets" book and was really happy to see that your recipes have normal everyday ingredients that are available here in Australia. One or two recipes have American goods (like marshmallow fluff, Pillsbury Biscuits) which are not readily available in here in Western Australia, but that don't matter too much. I'm sure I can substitute with other ingredients/items. I'm also looking forward to purchasing your next book when it comes out, and to start baking, baking, baking! I would make extra potatoes the night before, so we could have nice hashbrowns in the morning, I really should do that again. You always come up with such good ideas, sheet pan pancakes, I really must make these, I'm not a fan of having to fry each pancake in a small skillet.
I enjoy watching you cook and preserve food. I have been wanting to try sheet pan pancakes. I noticed you large tea kettle and wondered where you found it. My grandmother kept one like that on her coal stove with water in it to humidify the air, while I was growing up.

I love the idea to make strawberry syrup from the strawberry tops! Very interesting. But then again, my chickens might go on strike if they found out I didn't give those tops to them!!

Loved the video! I've got things ready to go in the freeze dryer as well. Getting the frozen veggies from the freezer and some leftovers ready to go in. I did strawberries earlier and sliced apples with cinnamon sprinkled on them. Wonderful snacks!

Great video! Everything looked wonderful. My question is, I never heard of freeze-dried sour cream. How do you use it after its freeze dried?
I will rehydrate it with a little water and it will be like original again. Use it just like normal.
I always add a little vanilla extract to my pancake batter.

Ive watched several of your videos and just subscribed this morning. You just seem to me to be the nicest person. Somebody I would love to have as a neighbor. Im fascinated that you did tractor trailer traveling with your husband. Did you drive as well? Im a retired school bus driver and had to get my CDL and school bus endorsement for that, but I always wondered what long distance tractor trailer driving and living was like? God bless.
Oh yes I drove semi for 13 years with my husband. I loved driving.

I got sweet potatoes for my worms this feeding. And Romaine lettuce, head of lettuce, apples, pears.. haven't checked on them yet.
They are surly happy worms. Do you raise them for fisherman? for compost? You could sell them to composters. They are wonderful little workers.
I’m curious which shelf do you cook on in your oven ? Some people use the bottom one for baking , i have always used the middle ones.
I use the middle as well, I get an even baking.
What a wonderful idea for the pancakes. I'm a diabetic so I'm going to make a batch of low-carb pancakes and freeze them.

Oh listen, I do. I make crepes and fill them with a cottage cheese filling just like my grandma used to do. Yes my entire family loves them. Great idea for a video because they would freeze well too.
How do you make clabbered milk. Also where did you get all you storage containers w snap lids. Do you share or sell your copies of all recipes?

Yep, I dehydrate strawberries for snacks and to use in breads, muffins, pancakes, etc. They obviously take a bit of time but they are tasty dehydrated. 😊

Hello I was wondering what kind of flour do you normally use? And which ones you prefer using. You see I’m a beginner bread and cake maker😊
And i only been using APF. But I just started hearing about Bleached APF and bread flour. What is the difference? Can I just use the APF for all cakes and bread ?
I have been at this for many, many ears and all I everuse if APF. Bread flour contains more protien than APF.

There is one local farm that sells at the supermarket and their eggs are really good...not the best but as good as you can get..however they are almost 8 dollars a dozen and I can't do that...I just cant!
I have never sold my eggs for more than 3.00 a dozen and really I give more away than I sell.

Well once my grand children discover them they will eat all of them. I do put them in yogurt, oatmeal, cereal and they can be rehydrated and used for shortcake.
@@LittleVillageHomestead I have 4 pounds of sliced strawberries dehydrating right now. I may get some more berries tomorrow and maybe freeze those. I am not sure. I wash my berries then I slice them. I don't cut off much of the top. Pinch off the leaves and a v cut to get the stem out. I am sure anxios to see your next video. Thumbs up!

Absolutely, they are stainless. I use a huge full size stainless sheet pan in my wood fired stone oven that reaches 800° and it does just fine.

2 tablespoons powdered eggs + 2 tablespoons water = 1 egg. it is equal parts powder and water.1/4 cup is 2 eggs, 1/2 cup is 4 eggs, 1 cup is 8 eggs.

My hubby just puts them in the microwave to reheat them. I use the oven to thaw and warm them.
How do you use the freeze dried sour cream?
Just like regular sour cream once it is rehydrated. You can also use it in the powder form for baking

I noticed in the video you say 400 degrees for 19 minutes for the jumbo blueberry muffins, however, the description box says 350 degrees for 25 minutes, what is the correct temp\time?

That was a good price for Strawberries. I live in Central California and we are paying 2.68 a pound right now. I think those were probably from Ventura area or San Diego because around Salinas/Watsonville they aren't ready yet. Thank you for the recipes.
