      Oooh yes Mary and Peter please do!! I love you guys and I love watching medical supply storage videos haha. My spare room is currently overflowing with medical supplies and slowly but surely I'm trying to organize everything, so I have been watching a lot of medical storage videos of late to get some ideas! So I would 100% watch if you guys made a similar video!!!😃❤

    Oh my goodness, I am feeling so overwhelmed with all these products. My preop appointment for ileostomy is in three days and I am wondering how the heck to learn all this and keep up with it all. You are amazing, love your setup and thank you for making it seem not so scary!

    Since you are using the Sensura Click system now, have you thought about getting a box or sample of the Sensura Mio Click High Output bags for when you have food poisoning/stomach bugs/long car rides etc? I'd love to see you do a review of those as Vegan Ostomy seems to be the only one I've seen review them.

      Vegan Ostomy is wonderful - I always go to him for product questions! I just ordered a sample so we will see if it comes and I will do my best to make a video! :)

    My GI follow up is coming up in just over a week. I've been in a pretty bad gi flare for the past 2 weeks now. Basically, every time I eat, I get gastric pain and end up going to the bathroom, where a lot of mucus is passed. My GI is not really, how do I say this? Knowledgeable, about certain things. Like, I have Ehlers-danlos Syndrome, and he says there's no GI manifestations with that (he's wrong btw). I would love some advice on how to get through my appointment, so I can get my issues addressed, without.... word punching this doctor.

      I recently had a friend not have the best group of doctors, and she wrote out each concern she wanted addressed and found more success with that! I think it helped remind her of every issue going on without getting flustered by a doc's response. Maybe that can help?

    have every thing in a book case in the corner of the bed room. I love the mio closed pouch. The only thing that bothers me iiis the disposal. I use diaper bag - bags to put them in. I double bag them..she's-wee. They can stink. I am not a fan of the empty-able bags. I am fat so that may be a reason for that. However they are great when you are doing a clean out for a scope. I do not use much other than the flange, bag and paste... water and that is it.

      Thats exactly how I was - I still love the closed-ended ones and miss them! Just sleeker and cleaner!

    Thank you for sharing so much about your journey. It is so helpful! I'm stressing about my upcoming ileostomy so can you tell me how much supply of products do you keep/recommend people keep on hand at all times? 1 month? 3 months? Thanks!

    • @LetsTalkIBD
      @LetsTalkIBD  5 років тому +1

      I usually keep a minimum of one month! Good luck!

    You probably have "weird" skin conditions going on all the time because your body just likes attacking itself. My mom has psoriasis and for the longest time put off going to the Dr. She had a handful of skin issues that she didn't think we're psoriasis but absolutely were, and now she's able to get them treated! Hopefully as you continue with humira you see improvement all around!

      Thats totally what it seems like! I need to just get myself together and go to a dang dermatologist! :)
