It was the early 80's-- I worked part time at Victoria Super Markets on 9th Ave.( Hells Kitchen)-- they always had Country Radio station WKHK--- They played Country music all day long.. I never knew of Don Williams.. I used to listen to Hip Hop --- R&B and Freestyle music.. These were the most popular formats at the time in N.Y.C---When I heard Good Ole Boys Like Me from Don Williams... Something inside of me was overtaken for ever... What an angelic voice did he have... I'm a very popular dj in my neighborhood--- I threw all the parties... But my true love was any song from Plainsview Gentle Giant-- Mr. Don Williams--- R.I.P--- I will forever miss you........ DJ Fast"Acid" Fred

Hey Steve Stevealicea, welcome to the Don Williams bandwagon I've been a Don Williams fan since he was still a fairly big name Country star in the early 60s and I still like to listen to his sort of laid back story telling music most any time I happen to be kind of surfing thru various subject videos on UA-cam , and I'm glad to find I'm not the only fan of Don Williams's easy going laid-back music style
