Rodney Rael that would mean he's putting 2,400 hp to a stock block?? I would love to say there that strong but ther not.. I would say maybe 800 to 900 but that stock blocks days are few at that point.
Donald Erdbrink I have a set of heads from a 304 that was making somewhere north of 800hp. 17lbs of boost if I remember. Missed a shift and stabbed it anyways. Stock block, crank and rods! The crank broke and damaged the block and some rods.
CalypsoNotch408 I wish I went dart block on my 88. Running a stock block 30 over to a 306 with victor jr heads and a girdle , 96 pound injectors with 24 pounds of boost from a procharger D1r. She ran a 9.73 at 143 with full interior. Still has cruise control lol. I think the key in keeping it together is the combination of the main girdle and super fat on the tune to keep it cool. I'm not running a intercooler either. Old school setup and Jimmy Larocca tuned it. This notch in the video is crazy. Must be nitrous I'm guessing.
How do you get your car to sound like that? I got a 94 gt with a b cam intake and shorty headers and a roots style blower sitting on the back seat going on soon but I wanna know what to do to get that rev is it all cam?
When someone refers to stock block, is that internals and what not or literally just the engine block itself? Curious on this build. Trying to move from. 25 years of imports to old American v8s.
The motor was taken apart and rebuilt. However, the crank/rods/pistons they put back in are the same ones the car comes with, meaning stock bottom end. If an engine hasn't been opened up, it's considered a sealed motor. Two similar but different categories.
Stock Block means exactly what it sounds like, Engine Block is From the Factory. Engine Block ONLY Not the internals, (Crank,Rods,Pistons, etc.) That would be considered the Bottem End. If all the Internals are Aftermarket Race Stuff, BUT it's still inside the Factory Engine Block, Then Yes, that's still a Stock Block. A .60 over 302 does not make it a 347. It makes it a 306. A 347 is a stroker...this car is not a stroker.
The block itself is stock that came from the factory. A race block has a taller deck and is strengthen where a stock block is weak.
347 can be done on a ford production block, dipshit.
Michael G I am aware of that. I am saying a simple .60 over 302ci does not equal 347ci.
