The circle is complete. Palpatine did everything he could to make Anakin Skywalker's family and friends suffer, targeting Ben Solo. The poetry here is how the Skywalker family took in the heiress to the Empire, choosing to follow the path she wanted, which ultimately destroyed the Final Order.

The Skywalker story has even greater meaning for orphans, the adopted & stepchildren about choosing their IDENTITY.. which guides their DESTINY.. (Luke's path changed when he left Uncle Owen to go with Ben, Ben to go to Yoda, Yoda to go toward Vader, Vader to chose his friends, then to students, when that failed it drove him into self-exile, then reverses back to a "student", then back to yoda, then sacrifice for friends. All with the hope of inspiring the next generation.. i am surprised the writers didn't see the symmetry of this and have him acknowledge Vader, Ben and even revisit Tatooine for a final farewell to show how far he has come and what it means to poetically show how Luke's "verse" brings balance in the Uni-verse.. or did he?) @@Ncholasbloom Very true.. Star Wars and war in general is full of martyrs it seems. I.e. Rogue One. In history, Patton said, War is about soliders dying for their country. Then said, Let's see how many of the enemy (SOBs) we can make patriots of theirs. Macarthur said, Soliders don"t die. They fade away. He must have been a Jedi. (Of course Jedi are more Monks/Knights/Samurai than foot soliders.. That would be Clone Troopers.) They were made to be bantha fodder, except for Boba Fett.. who aligned himself with Mandalorians. @@Ncholasbloom The idea that Rey was directly born a Skywalker was ok, but it is more interesting to know she was created by the force like Vader.. but that means Palpatine was killing his "grandson" in ROTJ. Also that would mean that Kylo and Rey would be cousins.. i forget the term but they share the same "Force Grandfather"? What is the Star Wars rules about them hooking up then.. it gets confusing.. but thematically.. Rey has her own identity and genetics is not necessarily a factor given she was force created and ultimately chose to be a Skywalker. How convenient a name for a jedi.. not suited for a farmer, that would be "Luke Sharecropper"! He was destined for more
