Thank you for posting this and I can't agree more. I can't even begin to tell you how much Google Slide sucks. Google slides is at best for high school, middle school or college students. For a big corporation, it is a nightmare. Its very behind in features and simply doesn't allow the capabilities PPT offers. One of the main reasons people choose google slides over PPT is the fact that they just have no idea what PPT is capable of. To put it simply, whatever Google Slides can do, PPT can do (and do it better). And most important features PPT allows and is capable of, Google Slide does not have an answer for. The UI and UX is probably the worse layout ive experienced. For example, in Google Slides, instead of Master Slides, they call it Themes....But as the name isn't misleading enough, if you open up their master/Theme slide and try to edit, good, luck cause its just horrific.
    Google slides doesn't
support SVG or EPS file types.
It doesn't allow a type on path tool.
It limits its user fie size to 100mb. exceeding this file size will cause the file to not open..
    Its master deck is confusing
    Theres no morph transition.
animation features is less than a quarter of the animation options in PPT.
It cannot import excel charts and convert it as an editable graph/chart. instead, it imports your graphs from other presentations as an image. This is just a small list of google slides overly simplified software.
Powerpoint may be a little hard to pick up but once you learn it, you'll realize, it offers way more
