Gayton actually saved my life. I was in a gang when he came to do a talk in my school in KZN when I was 16 in 2006. His speech made me walk away from what could’ve been a tragic lifestyle

We probably have been fooled by well dressed and well spoken liars that we disregard the rough around the edges pure hearted leaders who don’t boast about the lives he has changed . Our streets were clean, our roads did not have potholes and there were rules and accountability. Just because cader employment, mismanagement and greed distroyed most ANC run municipalities, you have to be insulting. Apartheid is long gone and you have ridden that horse to death. No one wants apartheid and no one wants racism. We want honest, competent leaders . It is 26 years later and the ANC has turned SA into a shithole country.

Also a FF+ guy here. I can see a coalision between the DA, FF+, ActionSA, ACDP and PA working out in Pta. I think these are all sensible parties, but the biggest threat to such a coalision is the ego of the DA, who always want to make everything about themselves. If the DA can learn to be a team player, this coalision can work for the people of Pta

My 2cent opinion is that the ANC when it was leading failed to include other parties. I believe they should have given them more responsibility either in the form of appointing them as minister of a certain department. For now it's all about damage control of which the ANC has somehow single handedly squandered through their cadre to cadre deployment. Thabo Mbeki used to preach about the strange habit of lying in order to obtain certain objectives.
No, I dont think it is that. The problem is that the ANC have been stealing from the country and made everybody poorer for the sake of shamelessly enriching themselves. Even now, the flow of public money into the bottomless pockets of the politically connected with nothing to show for it is still flowing strongly. The ANC is beyond redemption, because everyone in it has something to loose. Anyone who tries to reform it will be voted out by criminals who only care for themselves. This is why the ANC (And the EFF who doubles down on every bad policy of the ANC) must be voted out of power, because they are responsible for South Africa becoming just another banana republic.

Great questions Shahaan, perhaps it’s a lack of experience of these newer parties , to ensure that change comes that will not be achieved just by shouting from the opposition benches, they must consider the ANC and DA as partners so that they can more effectively alter and influence key decisions especially in the larger metros. These are exciting times for our country and we hope that the greatest beneficiaries for a change will be those living in abject poverty.
DA and ANC has experience of what exactly? Look at the shit that's going on where both govern. Doing something for years and doing nothing at the same time is nothing in politics.

Sometimes it's not the party that they fell out with its the individual within the party, like example take Trollip and Bobani, Bobani didn't want to adhere to holomisa he wanted to be the mayor while holomisa told him we should be the deputy or take administrative to support this movement to change Nelson mandela bay but did Bobani listen? No he did things his own way and he even fought with his own people in the udm, so Gayton isn't taking the wrong direction he's doing something for those who actually voted for him
