They concluded that waiting for the men to die and then pulling them out was the quickest way to get the pipes up and running again without outright killing the men.

Its not as easy as to flush them out or cut the pipe open lmao, didnt you see the video, the pressure wouldve killed them too in both cases, even the rescue team wouldve ended up dead if they tried cutting the pipe open.

That 1st one really brought back dark memories, a well known person in my High school got himself and 2 others killed doing the same shit back in 2013. they were racing and wrapped around a pole at high speeds, he killed not only himself, but his best friend and their sister. An absolute tragedy caused by foolishness and ego.
